Chapter 347 In Danger

Just then, Kenny walked in from outside.

When he saw so much delicious food on the table, he walked up to Caroline angrily and complained.

“G, why didn’t you tell me you were cooking so much delicious food”

Caroline pulled out the chair beside her and said with a smile, “I thought you weren’t coming back

today

Kenny sat down with a huff. “You heartless woman. You abandoned me to go out and play on your own

and didn’t even say hello when you came back! I’ve been running between the company and the

factory, it’s exhausting-”

Before Kenny could finish complaining, Jamie stuffed a mouthful of food into his mouth

Kenny was stunned and quickly chewed and swallowed it.

Caroline knocked her knuckles on Kenny’s head and said. “She’s Evan’s mother.”

“What?!” Kenny stood up from his chair and asked in disbelief, “The scumbag’s mother?”

Caroline covered her ears and said, “Don’t scream. Sit down, and we can talk about it nicely.”

Kenny sat down again. “G, how long have you known about this? Why didn’t you tell me? I was

wondering why the children are addressing her differently.”

“Didn’t you notice anything wrong when they changed the way they addressed her?” Caroline. looked

at him speechlessly.

Kenny mumbled, “I thought it was on a mere moment of impulse and didn’t think much of it. Does

Evan know about this?”

“Yes” Caroline took a sip of her orange juice. “Jamie doesn’t want to go with him.”

“Oh, even his own mother doesn’t want to go back with him. I guess he really isn’t a good person.”

Kenny pouted.

“Don’t take it out of context. There are some things you don’t know

“That’s right!” Before Caroline could finish, Liorn suddenly said, “Don’t keep calling Daddy a scumbag.”

Everyone, except Jamie, looked at Liora in shock.

Kenny widened his eyes and looked at Caroline. “He saved you? What happened? Why don’t I know

anything about this?”

Caroline explained everything that had happened to Kenny.

Kenny’s expression changed from fear to astonishment. “Wow! He saved you again!”

As he spoke, Kenny counted on his fingers. “In that case, he seems to have saved you five times!”

“Four times, to be precise. Caroline corrected. “One of those times, he abandoned me on a

mountain.

Kenny stroked his chin thoughtfully. Well, all those previous times don’t really count because he

was the one who put you in danger first, right? But this time, it’s different. I didn’t expect him to

care about you so much.”

After Kenny finished speaking, he felt he had misspoken “G, Im not speaking up for him I’m just

She remembered every single incident so vividly, but what was the point of saying all this now? She

After dinner, Jamie played with the children.

When it was time for bed, Caroline urged the children to go upstairs to sleep. After helping them with

their bedtime routines and tucking them in, Caroline realized that Jamie was still sitting in

front of the Lego set.

She walked to Jamie’s side and sat down. “Jamie, aren’t you going to sleep?”

Jamie shook her head and stared at the Lego pieces, lost in thought. “I want to finish building the

final roof for the children.”

Caroline couldn’t help but laugh. “Jamie, you won’t finish that roof in one night. It will probably

take at least three or four days.
