Caroline was about to speak when Kenny said, “Nah, you can still take care of him as a friend. He

Caroline was relieved “Alright, don’t be standing there. Wash your hands for dinner.”

Caroline glared at him. “Please stop your dangerous thoughts!”

Ten minutes later, Caroline packed the food, picked up the car key, and told the children, “I’m going out

to visit someone. Listen to Uncle Kenny and Grandma.”

Liora did not have the courage to say she liked her father because she worried her brother and

mother would be displeased.

scumbag Daddy.”

asked, “What brought you here?”

“No. Have you brought food with you?” Evan saw the packed food Caroline kept hidden.

bedside table.

“Are you going to work or eat first?” asked Caroline

She placed the laptop on the bedside table, unboxed the food, and passed the chicken soup to

Evan looked at the bland food with a frown “Is this what you eat at home?”

Caroline said, ‘I made this especially for you because you should watch what you eat now.”

Evan appeared relieved and in a good mood after hearing that He would eat anything she cooked for

him. He had frowned because he assumed she could not afford to eat well at home.

Evan scooped the chicken soup and ate slowly.

After dinner, Evan said, “Your cooking is just the same as before.”

Caroline packed up the container. ‘You sound like Criticizing.”

Evan smirked. “So, you’re also aware your cooking skill is not that good, huh?”
