Scott gently stroked Liora’s soft hair and asked, “Lia, did you miss me?”

Joseph: [Alright, I’ll wait for you at the school’s entrance.]

In less than 20 minutes, Scott, Caroline, and the children arrived at Merlin School.

Liora’s eyes sparkled as she got out of the car. “Wow, Mommy! This place is so pretty, and it’s so

big.”

He then touched their heads and straightened up, extending his hand to Scott. “Hello, I’m Joseph

Joseph withdrew his hand and turned to Caroline. “Ms. Shenton, if you don’t mind, I’ll have two

teachers conduct a simple assessment of the kids.

Caroline nodded. “Certainly. I trust your judgment.

After exchanging pleasantries, they headed to the teaching building, with Joseph contacting the

two teachers on their way.

Upon entering the building, the two teachers approached and greeted Joseph before turning their

attention to Liora and Tyler. They then led the children away.

Joseph invited Caroline and Scott into his office. He poured coffee for them and then got down to

business. “Ms. Shenton, if the kids perform well in their assessments, would you consider transferring

them to Merlin School?”
