Chapter 419
Trapped in Love
Chapter 419 Weâll See About That
Casey responded calmly. âShouldnât you ask Ms. Shenton about this before taking any action.
against me?â
Evan retorted, âI can hit you, and I donât need Carolineâs approval!â
âAlright, weâll see about that.â
Casey hung up.
Evan clenched his phone tightly, his demeanor turning cold and fierce.
Even though he opposed Caroline, he wouldnât allow anything to happen to her at Caseyâs hands.
Caroline stood up, stepped out of the hall, and intended to ask a waiter about the restroomâs
location when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist. They pulled her into a private room while
she was still dazed
Startled, she gazed up to see Evanâs furious face as the door closed behind her. She quickly pulled.
her hand away and frowned. âEvan, do you have no respect for others?â
âTell me! Whatâs going on between you and Casey?!â Evanâs eyes bore into her with intensity.
Caroline remained composed. âWhy should I divulge the details of my relationship with Casey to
you?â
âCaroline, heâs even more dangerous than you realize!â Evan controlled his anger.
Caroline chuckled. âWhy are you telling me this? Are you afraid Casey might harm me?â
Evan narrowed his eyes. âI just wanted to remind you of how dangerous he can be-â
Caroline cut in, âI donât need that! Please stop meddling in my affairs with others, especially since you
donât care whether I live or die.â
âDo you insist on staying in contact with Casey?â
âYes, and please stop being so nosy!â Caroline said firmly.
Evan couldnât believe his ears, and his suppressed anger surged within him. He stared at
Carolineâs determined expression and mocked, âIt seems like youâve developed quite an affinity for
him in such a short time.â
Caroline sneered. âCanât men and women just be friends?â
Evanâs eyes grew colder. âWell, youâre the first one who wants to befriend someone like Casey.â

Caroline countered. âYou really need to get a pair of glasses. Donât always believe everything your
eyes see!*
After that, she turned and left the private room.
Evan followed, his frustration increasing.
He wondered what he could say to dissuade Caroline from staying in contact with Casey.
He was willing to endure her dating someone else, even if it pained him. But Casey was absolutely
out of the question.
Alex noticed Kennyâs increasing drunkenness and glanced at Paige, who was reclining on the sofa.
He remarked, âI think we should call it quits. Thereâs no point in drinking like this.â
Kenny scowled. âStop? We havenât even had our fill!â
Alex replied, âIf we donât stop, we wonât be able to play games or have a decent conversation. Itâs
monotonous to just keep drinkingâ
Kenny blinked, baffled. âWhat do you want to talk about?â
âYouâre always dishonest. Iâd rather not converse with you âWith that, Alex got up.
âHey, you havenât explained. Why do you think Iâm dishonest?â Kenny stopped Alex.
Kenny was too drunk to understand what Alex meant. But he hadnât had his fill of wine yet-
quitting now was unexciting.
Seeing this, Alex sat back. âIâm curious why Neil agreed to let Carolineâs children take her
sumame.â
Kenny dismissed it. âItâs not a big deal. They can have whatever last name they want.â
