Since Evan had brought it up to Neil, she no longer worried about discussing it.
Caroline shut the laptop down. âI want to approach Caseyâ¦â
Caroline revealed her motive to Neil, but his expression turned sour. âCarol, itâs not wrong to prove
your innocence, but you know about Casey and what happened to Jamie.â
âThe riskier it is, the better chance I have to
ther evidence. Since Casey intends to seek revenge
on Evan, heâll surely prioritize me.â
Neil asked, âHave you thought this through? You might end up in a tough spot if you go ahead.â
Caroline smiled wryly. âHow can you achieve significant goals without taking risks?â

Neil sighed. âPromise be extra cautious around Casey, especially with the food.â
Caroline nodded. âDonât worry. Iâve got it covered.â
The next day, Caroline went to the kindergarten to handle the transfer procedures and finished. before
late morning.
Enrolling the kids was a breeze with Josephâs assistance, and they could officially attend class
tomorrow.
Caroline brought gifts to Josephâs office.
Joseph was touched by Carolineâs gesture and welcomed her. âWhatâs this, Ms. Shenton?â
Caroline placed the gifts on the coffee table. âMr. Gull, thank you for admitting my children to your
school. This is a small token of my gratitude.â
Joseph declined politely, saying, âItâs an honor to have your exceptional children here.â
Caroline smiled. âHonestly, I have another favor to ask, Mi. Gull.â
Joseph asked, âDo you want all three children in the same class?â
Caroline nodded. âOur family situation is complicated, and I wonât burden you with details. I hope you
can agree, Mr. Gull.â

Joseph pushed the gifts back to Caroline. âI intended to do so even without your request, Ms. Shenton.
Theyâre your children, and Iâll place them together. But I canât accept these gifts. I havenât properly
thanked you for your help with my fatherâs matter.â
Caroline reassured him, âIt was a small task. You neednât worry.â
âItâs equally simple for me to put them in the same class. Will you be sending them here tomorrow?â
Joseph inquired,
Caroline nodded.
Joseph added, âOur school will arrange a doctorâs visit for the children tomorrow afternoon.
Caroline said, âCertainly. Thank you for this, Mr. Gull.â
In the afternoon, Caroline hurried to the factory following Naomiâs directions.
Kenny was finalizing arrangements for the factory.
After he finished discussing with the workers, Caroline asked, âHow are preparations going,
Kenny?â
Kenny was relieved to see Caroline. âYouâre finally back. Staff planning is nearly done. You can
terminate the factory lease tomorrow, and production will continue here smoothly without
aflecting sales.â
Caroline glanced at the new factory. âThe facility looks great.â
âI visited the Bureau of Land Management earlier and secured a plot of land! Although itâs not as
large as the leased factory, itâll suffice!â
Caroline was surprised. âWhen did you arrange this?â
âA few days ago, I thought it would be best to get it done. The factoryâs safety margin is higher
than expected!â
Kenny proudly waited for Carolineâs approval.
Caroline chuckled. âStill eager to claim credit, VP?â
