Chapter 446
Trapped in Love
Chapter 446 Heâs Going to Be Fine
Axel coughed up blood as soon as Alex ended the call.
Evanâs face turned pale, and his hands shook uncontrollably. It was the first time Alex had seen Evan
so terrified.
Thirty minutes later, Evan rushed Axel to Grand East, cradling him carefully. He hurried into the
emergency department, gently placing Axel on a stretcher,
Trying to hide his own emotions, he comforted Axel, âIâll be right outside. Donât be scared.â
Axel breathed heavily and reassured him, Tâm fine, donât worry, Daddyâ
Evanâs eyes welled up with tears.
Dr. Richie Webber then intervened, saying, âMr. Jordan, we will take care of Mr. Jordan Jr.â
They wheeled Axel into the emergency room
As Axelâs cold, little hands slipped from Evanâs grasp, a profound sense of helplessness consumed
him. He watched Axel disappear behind the emergency room doors.
Alex approached Evan, patted his shoulder, and tried to encourage him. âDonât worry. Heâs going to
be fine.â
Evanâs gaze remained fixed on the emergency room, his face tense.
âMs. Love!â a voice cried out.
Alex turned and saw Daniella clutching a doctorâs coat, anxiously holding a report.
The impatient doctor said, âI canât assess the severity of his condition based on a report alone. You
need to bring your child for a consultation. How many times must I repeat that?â
Daniella sobbed loudly. âWould I be begging if I could bring the child here?â
The doctor sighed in frustration. âThe report doesnât look promising. I canât say more. Please, stop
blocking me. Iâm busy.â
He walked away. Daniella was disappointed, her head hanging low.

Alex wondered, Who is the child Daniella is referring to? It canât be Axel, can it? She hasnât
interacted with him in so long.â
Meanwhile, on the top floor of Grand East.
Caroline was signing the surgery consent forms. She handed them back to Deric and asked, âHow
long will the surgery take?â
Deric replied, âThree to four hours. A craniotomy is a major procedure.â
Caroline nodded. âI understand. Please do everything you can to save Ms. Smith.â
âWe
will. Donât worry.â Deric turned and headed to Lilyâs room
Shortly after, Lily was wheeled out on a stretcher, and Caroline followed her to the operating
room. Her heart ached when she saw Lilyâs sunken cheeks, and she hoped the doctors could bring
her back to consciousness.
As Lily was being wheeled into the operating room, Carolineâs phone rang. She took the call when
she noticed the caller was Scott.
Scott asked, âAre you at the hospital, Carol?â
Caroline sat down. âI am. Lily was taken into the operating room ahead of schedule.â
âBut wasnât it supposed to be at 2:00 p.m.?â Scott asked.
Caroline explained, âEvan arranged for a team to treat Lily, and they said they could start the
surgery as soon as I arrivedâ
Scott replied, âUnderstood. Iâll be there.â
Caroline hesitated, then said, âItâs okay. Donât come if youâre busy at the hospital.
Scott insisted, âIâve already requested time off. Donât deny me; be kind.â
Caroline relented. âAlright then, Iâm on the top floor of Grand Eastâs inpatient department.â
âIâll be there in about 15 minutes.â
âSee you.â
