Chapter 472 Fired Bodyguard
Caroline asked, âDo you remember Finn?â
Evan paused briefly and replied, âWhoâs that?â
Caroline explained, âFinn Leaver, the bodyguard who worked for you a few years back. You fired him
five years ago. Donât tell me you forgot!â
âI donât remember. Just tell me, Iâm short on time.â
Caroline sneered. âWhat are you avoiding?â
âWhat am I avoiding?â Evan asked, puzzled.
âDid you send Finn to crash Scottâs car?â Caroline asked.
Evanâs expression turned serious. âWhere are you?
Caroline retorted, âDo you think Iâd want to see you?â
Evan said, âIf you want to discuss this, weâll do it in person or not at all.â
He ended the call, leaving Caroline speechless.
She stared at the âcall endedâ screen, wondering. âWhat does he mean? Did he orchestrate this and
now
wants to meet me in person to explain? Why not just talk on the phone?â
Furious, she sent Evan a text.
Caroline: [Where are you? Iâm coming over now!
Evan: [Meet me at Villa Rosa.]
Later, Evan entered the room, saying, âIâm going back to the villa to get Axelâs laptop and change.â
Alex nodded. âEven if you donât return, there are nurses here. Go home and rest.â
Caroline arrived at Villa Rosa half an hour later.
The nanny reminded her, âPlease see Mr. Jordan in his bedroom upstairs.â
Caroline thanked the nanny and went upstairs. She knocked on Evanâs door, and he hoarsely said,
âCome
in.â

Caroline hesitated, suggesting, âCan we talk outside?â
Evanâs voice grew stern. âI wonât repeat myself.â
Caroline entered the room reluctantly. She found Evan in a bathrobe with wet hair.
She looked away and said, âLetâs talk after you change.â
Evan asked sarcastically. âAfraid Iâll harm you?â
Caroline clenched her fists and sat on the nearby sofa. âExplain now. I need to get back to the
hospital.â

Evan stared at her. âSo, you assume I planned this because a former bodyguard of mine did it?â
Caroline retorted, âIs it mere coincidence that the person who crashed Scottâs car is your exâ
bodyguard?â
Evan replied, âYou mentioned I fired him five years ago. If I wanted to harm Scott, why go through the
trouble of involving someone you know? I could have used an anonymous party.â
Caroline countered, âWhat about Lily? You arranged the medical team.â
Evanâs expression grew serious. âCaroline, I wonât explain this further.â
Caroline mocked. âIs it guilt thatâs stopping you? So, youâre using your usual tactics, hoping I wonât
suspect you!â 1
Infuriated by Carolineâs insinuations and the mounting stress, Evan exclaimed, âScottâs accident has.
nothing to do with me! I wouldnât employ my exâbodyguard to deal with him!
âAnd you worked with me for three years. Have you ever seen me act so recklessly, like in Lilyâs case?
Do you think Iâd jeopardize myself just to deal with someone?â
