harsh would make Liora cry all night.

The following day, Evan entered his office with a serious expression.

The secretaries were terrified by his demeanor. They sent documents to his office and quickly left,

fearing Evan might take out his anger on them.

It didn’t take long for someone to arrive.

A secretary whispered, “Is that Mr. Jordan’s older brother?”

“I think so! He made headlines for getting beaten up by Mr. Jordan!”

“I heard he was involved in the incident with Mr. Jordan’s mother, right?”

Unaware of their conversation, Casey approached Evan’s office. He knocked twice and heard Evan’s

deep volce, “Come in!”

Casey opened the door, and Evan’s expression turned hostile as soon as their eyes met.

Casey closed the door with a slight smile on his face.

“Get out!” Evan shouted harshly.

Casey feigned confusion at Evan’s anger. “But you invited me to join the company. Why are you

Evan stood up and approached Casey. He grabbed Casey’s collar and said coldly. “If you dare to be

Insolent in my presence again, I’ll beat you every time I see you!”

Casey smiled nonchalantly. “It depends on whether you approve of Caroline and me getting engaged.”

“Stop using that to manipulate me, damn it!” Evan barked.

Casey relished Evan’s rage reflected in his eyes.
