Chapter 639
Trapped in Love
Chapter 639 Part Ways Without Joy
âHow is that any of your business?â Evan asked coldly.
Adam was about to speak, but Draco hit the table and placed his glass heavily on it. He shouted at Evan,â Do you still have any manners in
you?â
âFather, Evan is just lively. Itâs normal for him to have a strong personality. Please donât get angry,â Casey said calmly.
Caseyâs comment only infuriated Draco further.
He glared sternly at Evan. âWeâll never have peace in this family as long as youâre here!â
âIâm returning the favor, just as it is. I believe this family is tainted as long as Casey is a part of it,â Evan retorted with a scoff.
Dracoâs anger flared, and he slammed the table again. âGet out of here, you piece of shit!â
Evan stood up and slowly buttoned up his jacket. âItâs clear that I wonât share a meal with a sex offender
at the same table.â
Without looking back, Evan walked out of the dining room.
However, as he walked away, a coffee pot was hurled at his back, soaking the back of his outfit in
scalding coffee.
âGet out of here! Itâs better if you never come back, you ungrateful bastard!â Draco snarled.
Evanâs expression remained solemn as he walked away without turning back. He crossed paths with
Daniella, who was leaving the kitchen with a bowl of soup.
âEvan, are you leaving?â Daniella asked, her voice tinged with surprise.
Evan replied coldly, âIâve underestimated your capabilities.â
Before she could explain herself, Eyan walked away, perplexing Daniella.
Meanwhile, Reuben sat enjoying a hamburger while watching the crews on their floats. After swallowing a
bite, he noticed Evan and called out, âMr. Jordan!â
Evan glanced at him and said, âTake me to Bayview Villa.â
Reuben replied, âYes, sir!â

When they got into the car, Evan looked at Reuben through the rearview mirror and said, âYou can have dinner at Bayview Villa later.â

Reuben was taken aback. âBut, sir-â
âCaroline wonât mind,â Evan said coldly.
âYes, sir.â
Reuben knew Caroline wouldnât mind, but Evan wanted him to join the dinner because it was an important event. He couldnât help but sigh
when he noticed Evanâs somber mood. He knew that every Lundi Gras, Evan and Draco would part ways without joy.
At Bayview Villa, Neil brought some good liquor to the dinner, and Caroline joined in for a few drinks to
celebrate. However, she kept stealing glances at the window.
Kenny followed Carolineâs gaze and asked, âWhat are you looking at, G?â
âHuh? Oh, nothing, just the fireworks,â Caroline said, snapping back to reality.
âWeâll be playing with fireworks later, too. Why are you so fixated on them?â Kenny asked as he stuffed his
mouth with food.
Paige smiled at Caroline and teased, âYouâre waiting for Evan, arenât you?â
Alex chimed in. âThatâs for sure. Caroline is getting impatient because Evan hasnât shown up yet.â
Caroline glared at them and retorted, âIsnât the food enough to keep you all quiet?â
While Paige whispered secrets with Caroline, Neil observed Scott nonchalantly. He noticed that Scottâs mood remained unaffected when they
mentioned Evan.
Neil wondered about Scottâs feelings toward Caroline, thinking, âDoesnât he get jealous at all when
someone teases her about other men?
