Chapter 647
Trapped in Love
Chapter 647 Unknown Entities
âDonât you find your remark contradicting?â Caroline asked.
Evan replied, âI donât think so!â
Caroline couldnât help but retort, âIf you donât believe in baseless superstitions, why do you care about his
gift to Lia?â
Evan explained, Iâm concerned that the item might not be clean.â
Caroline asked, âCould it be contaminated? He doesnât strike me as a careless person!â
Axel and Tyler exchanged glances after hearing their argument.
They soon sighed and chose not to get involved.
Evan still wanted to argue, but Neil stopped him. âAlright, itâs just an amulet. I know Benjamin. Heâs a good
person,â Neil reassured them.
Neil realized that things could have escalated if he hadnât intervened.
Evan and Caroline sulked all the way back to Bayview Villa.
As soon as Evan got out of the car, he left with Reuben.
Neil carried Liora and, with Axel and Tyler, joined Caroline in entering the house.
After setting down Liora, Neil said, âDonât be upset anymore, Carol, I have to return to Xander Residence.â
Caroline nodded and said, âOkay.â
As Neil left, Caroline checked on Liora, who was sitting on the sofa with a pale face.
She approached, placed Liora on her lap, and asked, âLia, can you tell me whatâs bothering you today?â
Liora stared blankly ahead, seemingly unable to hear Caroline.
Tyler thought for a moment and said, âMommy, is it related to what the old man said?â
Caroline couldnât recall. âWhat did he say?â
âHe mentioned that Liaâs health is delicate,â Axel explained.
Caroline frowned as she wasnât an expert in this area. She then remembered Eira.
âTy, please go get Eira,â she requested.
Tyler got up and walked to the kitchen, returning with Eira shortly.

Noticing Lioraâs unusual behavior, Eira sat down and asked, âWhatâs wrong with Lia, Carol?â
Caroline explained Benjaminâs comments from their visit to the graveyard earlier in the day.
Eira responded with a serious expression. Iâm not sure if you believe in mysticism, Carol. I used to be
curious about it, but Iâm not particularly skilled in that field. However, I do know a bit. Children shouldnât
visit graveyards. Liora is a girl, which might make her more sensitive. Graveyards have many unknown
types of energy, and Lia might be scared.â
Eira gently touched Lioraâs forehead and waved her hand in front of her. âLia?â
Liora remained unresponsive, lost in her own thoughts.
Eira sighed. âLet her rest, and well check on her later.â
Caroline nodded and placed Liora on the sofa, gently patting her back until she fell into a deep sleep.
When it was time for dinner, Caroline tried to wake Liora. âLia, itâs dinner time.â
Liora turned over and shouted in alarm.
Caroline was taken aback and stared at her in surprise. âLia, why are you shouting?â
Liora continued to mumble in an unknown language, not responding to her.
Eira rushed out of the kitchen, worried by the commotion.
Feeling Lioraâs forehead, Eira furrowed her brow. âLia has a fever!â
