Chapter 649
Trapped in Love
Chapter 649 Give it a Try
Caroline said, âYes. Axel, remember to take your medicine. Il take care of Lia, alright?â
Axel nodded. âOkay, Mommy. Liora is the priority now.â
Tyler took a sip of milk. âMommy, will you take her to the hospital again if she doesnât get better?â
Caroline nodded. âIâll take Lia to the hospital again if her fever doesnât go down by this afternoon.â
Caroline grew anxious and asked Kenny to take Liora to the hospital. It was 1:00 p.m., and Lioraâs fever
was still high, reaching 40°C.
Eira suggested, âIâll go with you, Carol. Itâs better to have more help.â
Caroline looked at the kids. âI canât leave Ty and Axel alone at home.â
Eira said, âNeil is on his way.â
âDid you tell him?â Caroline asked.
Eira confirmed, âYes, I told him about Liaâs condition.â
âAlright. Kenny, you drive.â Caroline handed Kenny the car key.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the hospital. The doctor prescribed medicine and intravenous fluids
for Liora. Caroline requested a room for her.
After Liora was settled, the three of them waited quietly.
Eira said, âCarol, take a nap on the sofa. You donât look well.â
Caroline shook her head. She was about to speak when Liora suddenly opened her eyes.
Caroline was surprised and approached her, âLia?â
Liora blinked and looked at Caroline. âMommy, someoneâs talkingâ¦â
âTalking? Is it Eira?â Caroline frowned and glanced at Kenny and Eira.
Liora shook her head. âNo, itâs an old womanâ¦â
âOld woman? Where is she? Kenny felt uneasy.
Liora pointed to the door behind Kenny.

Caroline, Kenny, and Eira turned to look, but there was nothing there. Caroline was worried that Lioraâs
fever might be causing delirium.
âLia, donât scare me. Thereâs no old woman there,â Caroline reassured Liora while gently caressing her
head.
Liora insisted, âThe old woman has her hair in a low ponytail, and sheâs talking to me.â
Caroline felt a chill run down her spine and was at a loss for words.
Eira suggested, âCarol, why donât we consult a seer? In my hometown, they do it when a child has an
unexplained fever.â
Caroline hesitated. âFever is a physical issue, Eira. I donât know any seer.â
Eira urged, âCarol, some things canât be explained scientifically. It wonât harm Liora to try. If you canât
reach a seer, maybe you can contact Benjamin.â
Although Caroline was not superstitious, she saw no other option for Lioraâs high fever and decided to
give it a try.
Confused, Kenny asked, âWhat do you mean by seer and Benjamin?â
