Chapter 651 Will He Believe?
Caroline rushed over and gently placed Liora against her.
âOpen her mouth so she can have the holy water,â Benjamin instructed.
Caroline followed his instructions, and Benjamin poured the holy water into Lioraâs mouth.
Lioraâs eyes snapped open as she choked on the water.
Startled, she spat out the water upon seeing Benjamin, then screamed and sought refuge in Carolineâs
arms.
âMommy! Hold me!â Liora cried out.
Caroline felt relieved at Lioraâs behavior, hugged her, and gave Benjamin an apologetic look. Iâm sorry,
Benjamin. She isâ¦â
âItâs okay, Benjamin replied, standing up while holding the bowl. He glanced at the dumbfounded Kenny
in puzzlement.
Catching Benjaminâs gaze, Kenny turned to him in a daze.
âAm I⦠possessed by unknown entities too? Kennyâs face turned deathly pale.
âNo, but avoid using a car or driving this year and stay away from bodies of water as much as possible,â
Benjamin advised.
âHuh?â Kenny was bewildered.
Caroline cleared her throat. âDonât ask, Kenny. Thank Benjamin for his guidance quickly.â
Kenny promptly thanked Benjamin. âThank you, Benjamin. Iâll remember that. I promise not to drive, but Iâll
cycle to work!â
Kenny added, âEven though itâs quite far⦠I donât want to be possessed. Itâs terrifying!â
As Benjamin bustled about, Kenny scurried over to Caroline. âG, what is this practice here? Itâs amazing!â
Caroline shook her head. âI donât know.â
Benjamin sat on a chair and asked, âHas the childâs fever gone down?â
Caroline quickly checked Lioraâs forehead and exclaimed, âHer fever has gone down!â

âHmm. The child has a strong spirit but a weaker body than most. It would be beneficial for her to learn.

Caroline gazed at Benjamin with concern. âSkills like yours? What will happen to her if she doesnât learn?â
âDays like today will repeat themselves. The consequences can be dire if her body canât withstand possession. However, the amulet I gave you
will help ward off evil entities. Do your best to avoid places.
like graveyards and hospitals, and limit nighttime travels.â
Caroline was frightened. âBenjamin, can my child learn from you?
âItâs a challenging path with its shortcomings, like being orphaned, loneliness, disability, and a lack of
wealth, life experiences, and power. Go home and think it over. I feel a connection with the girl. If your
agree, I will teach her.â
Caroline and Kenny were puzzled.
Caroline asked, âWhen should we send her to you for lessons?â
Benjaminâs gaze lingered on Kenny, and he looked at him for a long moment before saying. âNot now. The
time isnât right yet.â
On their way home, Kenny exclaimed, âG, Cheasians are incredible. We donât have such powerful people
abroad.â
âWhat our ancestors have left behind shouldnât be underestimated,â Caroline said.
She had

superstitious but realized there was more to the world than she had known after
Lioraâs incident. Her understanding was just a small part of the whole.
Kenny suggested seriously, âYou should discuss this with Evan. Will he believe in what Lia is learning?â
Caroline felt troubled, recalling her argument with Evan over the amulet Benjamin had given her.
âLia isnât his for now. Iâm the one making the decisions,â Caroline said.
Kenny leaned back. âTsk, Iâd love to learn as wellâ¦â
Caroline glanced at him. âYouâre always so curious.

Suddenly, Liora looked up and asked, âMommy, does the old man really want to teach me?â Caroline smiled at her slowly recovering daughter.
âDo you want to learn from him?â
