Evan stood in the childrenâs room with a frown, observing his two sons, both sporting dark circles under
their eyes.
âI donât want excuses. I just want to know why you stayed up all night,â Evan said sternly.
Tyler pursed his lips. âDo I have the right to refuse to answer any question?â
Axel patted Tylerâs shoulder. âJust say it. We have to tell sooner or later anyway.â
Tyler glanced at Axel. âYou can say what you want. I wonât.â
Axel nodded and was about to explain when Evan interrupted, âDonât tell me, Axel. Let Tyler tell me.â
âWhy should I tell you? Youâre in no position to dictate what I do. Donât think you can meddle in my
matters just because youâre with Mommy!â
Evan stared coldly at him. âWhat a defiant boy!â
Evan smirked. âYouâre my child. Why donât I have the authority to dictate what you do as your father?â
Tyler was stunned. âHas Mommy told him the truth? is it because of last nightâs incident?â
Tyler turned away. Even though he had also been worried last night, he couldnât bring himself to accept
Evan!
Evanâs smile broadened upon noticing Tylerâs silence. âWhy? Donât you want to call me âDaddyâ?â
Liora leaped out of bed after the commotion woke her.
âIâll call you if Tyler wonât! Daddy!â Liora held out her hands at Evan.
Evan was shocked his daughter addressed him as âDaddyâ. He suppressed the bitterness in his heart and
carried Liora with an affectionate gaze. âHmm, I heard that.â
Liora hugged Evanâs neck tightly. âI can finally call you Daddy. Iâve been waiting for this day way too long.â
Evan patted her back.
Tyler darted a displeased look at her. âYou turncoat.â
Liora turned to him angrily. âHow am I a turncoat when Mommy has already admitted it?â

Tyler sat on the bed crossâlegged with a resistive expression. âYouâre still a turncoat anyhow!â

âEven if you refuse to acknowledge it, Daddy is still Daddy!â Liora grunted.
Tyler was rendered speechless.
Axel said smilingly, âYou were very worried about Daddy too last night, Ty.â
Tyler said, âI wasnât!â
Tyler jumped off the bed and walked to the bathroom.
Evan didnât stop Tyler but waited for him to wash up patiently.
Tyler stared at him quietly. âFine. Itâs okay to tell you since weâve been busy with your matter anyway!â
Evan nodded and beckoned him to speak.
Tyler walked over and turned on his and Axelâs laptops.
He told Evan, âYou should-â
âShouldnât you change your address before you speak?â Evan interrupted him.
Tyler clenched his fists. âI need time, okay? Also, donât you know itâs very disrespectful to interrupt
someoneâs conversation?â
âIf you want to talk about manners, you should learn to address me properly first,â Evan corrected him.
Tyler might not be calling him Daddy if Evan didnât push Tyler.
Tyler took a deep breath. âIs this word so important to you?â
âItâs because youâre my son,â Evan said in a deep tone.
Tyler couldnât be bothered to dwell on this issue too much. He would abide by his motherâs intention
since she had already come clean.
It wouldnât cost him anything to do that anyway!
Tyler said, âSure, Daddy. Please listen to what Iâm about to tell you!â
