turned somber.

“Did she endure some form of violence?”

Reuben explained, “It’s unclear whether it was violence or not. When she was admitted to the

hospital, her body was covered with bruises.”

Evan tightly grasped the information, his heart skipping a beat. Simultaneously, the coldness in

his eyes deepened. ‘What the hell did she go through in her past?‘

“What about the investigation into her teachers at the time?” Evan set the document aside, his

Reuben replied, “I managed to contact three teachers, but they claim to have no recollection of it.

Mr. Jordan, most of the information has been lost. We need more time to reach the remaining

teachers.”
