Chapter 1908

Punished by His Love

Chapter 1908

Eirwen was sleeping soundly on the bed. she had been in a terrible state of man these days, so

once she had fallen asleep, she would be sleeping for a very long time. After she had woken up,

her mind would be in an incomparable mess.

Eira looked at the tattered blanket covering her mother, she hung her head and wiped her tears,

she then went over to tuck Eirwen in properly. Actually, Eira knew very well that this blanket had

been used for too long, so he had long been unable to keep her warm. It was still slightly better

at that moment. If the weather got any colder, her mother and brother certainly would suffer from

the cold. Their house was lacking in too many things, and this small golden pendant was not

enough at all. she could not let her brother shoulder all the burden, she had to help to share

some burdens. She also had to earn money. The golden pendant that she got that day was a

very good start.

After Eira had properly tucked Eirwen in, she took a look at the sky outside, she had been

waiting for her brother to return, she already could not wait to share this joy with her brother.

After some time, some footsteps could finally be heard outside. Eira hurriedly went to greet the

person. She walked quickly to the door and opened it. However, the person who appeared at the

door was not her brother, but it was Delmont.

With a face full of dismay, Eira looked at Delmont who was standing at the door. After that, she

quickly clenched her right hand tightly like a child who had done something wrong and quickly

took two steps back. "Dad, I didn't push her. I really didn't. Believe in me, alright? My mother is in

a terrible state of mind right now. She can't be away from me. I'm begging you to not capture me

and don’t lock me up, alright? If you truly want to avenge my sister and firmly believe that I was

the one who did it, then push me down the stairs. You just push me down the stairs as well,

alright?" said Eira, her eyes already filled with tears.

Throughout all these years spent struggling to survive with her mother and brother, Eira had

seen all sorts of parents, she had seen a father who would hold an umbrella when it was raining,

but only to cover his child. She had seen a father who would buy his daughters' favorite candy

for her even though he only had ten dollars left in his pocket, she had also seen a father who

was terribly ill, but for the sake of her daughter, he did his best to hold on as he wanted to keep

all the money he had saved for his daughter. However, on the other hand, Eira could not

acknowledge his father and could not see him. Only her father would call her a little beggar...

As she thought of that, Eira almost cried out loud. However, Eira was afraid that Delmont would

be annoyed when he saw her, so she forced herself to hold her tears back and did not let them

fall down her cheeks no matter what.

When Delmont saw the way Eira looked at that moment, he also felt very distressed. When he

looked past Eira and looked inside the house, Delmont's eyebrows were knitted even tighter. The

house was beyond disrepair. It looked unlike a place that someone could stay in at all. when he

glanced over and saw that person on the bed, Delmont's expression got even more awful. Ever

since he had divorced Eirwen, Delmont had never seen her again. However, he did not expect

that she would actually turn out to be like that. Delmont truly did not know what kind of life Eira

could live in such a terrible environment.

After all, she was his daughter, so it would be lying to say that he was not heartbroken at all.

Originally, Delmont felt quite uncomfortable when he thought of sending Eira to Mister Qualls.

However, when he saw Eira living like that, Delmont felt that Joy was not wrong. Rather than

living with her crazy mother in such a precarious situation, perhaps Eira would truly be living a

better life with Mister Qualls. Thinking of that, Delmont patiently and slowly knelt, which was rare,

and raised his head to look at Eira. He then said gently, "Silly child, what are you talking about?

You're my child. How can I bear to push you down the stairs? I was just too anxious just now

when I saw Brooke was injured, so I may have been a little harsh with my words. Don' t be angry

with me, alright?"
