Chapter 2023
Punished by His Love
Chapter 2023
Sean got even more curious. He continued to walk towards the place where people had come
out, and he had to turn a corner again when he arrived at a junction. He then continued to walk
further in after turning the corner. In the end, he found the porridge place.
It was true that good wine needs no bush. Sean sat down and ate a bowl, and it truly shocked
him to his core. The Ford family had many maids. After Sean had come to Sebastian's house,
although there were not many maids there, Aunt Lewis and Aunt Tianna were great cooks.
However, Sean simply had never tasted such delicious porridge. He finished one serving, and
then he got himself another. After he had finished, he gave it a thought and he just had to bring
some back to his grandchildren.
However, he had no pot or food containers, so what should he do? He simply bought a large
stainless steel container from the store next door. He asked the seller to rinse the container with
boiling water and clean it for him. After that, he directly bought an entire container worth of
porridge from the restaurant and went home. 1
Once he returned to Sebastian and Sabrina's house, he pushed the door open and called out to
Aunt Lewis. "Aunt Lewis, Aunt Lewis, you don't have to prepare the porridge anymore. I brought
some home."
Aunt Lewis, who was about to start preparing the porridge, saw that Sean had carried a large
container home and she also got very curious. However, since Master Ford said not to prepare
the porridge, she just followed his orders. Half an hour later, Sebastian, Sabrina, and Aino got up
to have breakfast, and all of them, especially Aino, was stunned after they had the first bite of the
porridge.
Aino looked at Aunt Lewis with surprise. "Grandma Lewis, have your cooking skills improved
again? I love you to the moon and back. I want to have your porridge every day from now on.
Well, can I have another bowl, Grandma Lewis?"
Aino was very curious about why Aunt Lewis put the porridge in the container.
Aunt Lewis looked at Aino with embarrassment., " Well... Aino, the porridge today is not...not
prepared by me..."
Aunt Lewis glanced at Sean.
Aino was speechless. After she was stunned for a while, she asked Sean, "You're the one who
prepared it?" She was truly impressed by the old man.
Sean immediately smiled apologetically. "No...it was not prepared by me. I...I bought it. Is
it...delicious?"
Aino nodded. "Yes, it's delicious."
She had to admit that the porridge that the old man had bought was indeed too delicious. It was
incomparably fresh, smooth, and thick. It was simply fantastic. That morning, Aino
unprecedentedly said to Sean, "Thankyou, old man."
Just a simple thank you was enough to melt Sean's heart. From then onwards, Sean would go
and buy a large container full of porridge for the entire family every now and then. Also, he
learned that the other dishes from the restaurant were incomparably tasty as well. It was no
wonder why the restaurant was thriving despite being located in such a remote place.
However, that particular day, Sean was actually feeling restless. He did not even sleep a wink
the night before, and he could not sit in his rooftop garden. He had to get busy and do
something. Therefore, Sean had carried his food container and lined up in front of the restaurant
earlier in the morning. He had waited in line for about an hour before he was able to buy the
porridge, side dishes, and also some other food. He then finally felt more at ease. However,
Sean knew more than anybody else that something would happen that day.
While he slowly walked back home, tears were streaming down his face. Once he opened the
door, Sean saw the entire family was standing at the door looking at him. Sebastian, in particular,
was looking at Sean with a calm expression.
"What's wrong?" Sean asked.
"Dad, she...is dead," Sebastian said calmly.
