Chapter 2024
The porridge that Sean was holding in his hands fell. Fortunately, Sebastian was quick to react
and he caught the thermal container before it landed on the floor.
"She had a very peaceful expression when she died."
Sean raised his head and looked at his son. His son's expression was even calmer. It was as if
he knew that his stepmother, Rose Quinton, would die at this time. In fact, Sebastian truly knew.
Even that blade was deliberately placed at a prominent place by Sebastian for his father to see.
His father had recently often visited Rose during that period. He almost went to the psychiatric
hospital to visit Rose every time he visited Grace at the cemetery. He would spend as much time
scolding Rose at the hospital as the duration he had spent crying at Grace's grave. Both the
people who were still alive were suffering beyond measure. It was particularly so for Rose.
Sebastian had sent someone to keep a close watch on Rose's every move. Under the
circumstance of not having any kind of entertainment and only in a room where the walls and
everything else was white, it truly was very difficult for a sober person who had not gone crazy to
endure. It would have been better if she had gone crazy. Everything would have been resolved if
she had gone insane. Rose's regret and the self- inflicted torture made her scratch and yank her
hair til she was bald.
Since Sebastian had already gotten what he wanted, it was unnecessary to go overboard and
force her into the corner like this. Therefore, Sebastian placed the blade that was most eye-
catching to his father, other than that, he also notified the staff at the psychiatric hospital and
asked them to turn a blind eye to what might happen.
Rose had once lived a glorious and wealthy life. However, she was too cruel and she had not
taken other people's lives seriously. It was already the greatest kindness Sebastian could give
her to let her have such an ending and to die in such a good and dignified way.
Sebastian knew that his father was sad. His father had not slept a wink the night before while
Sebastian also did not sleep much. In fact, when his father had gone to buy porridge early in the
morning, Sebastian had been following behind him. Sebastian had just arrived home five
minutes before Sean had gotten home. Within that five minutes, Sebastian received a call from
the psychiatric hospital. Rose had taken her own life. It was expected, but the sorrow was also
inevitable. 1
However, Sebastian only felt sorrow for a brief moment in time. He then looked calmly at his
father. " Dad, I will give her a grand funeral and I will also..."
Sebastian originally wanted to say, "I will also bury her in the Ford family's family plot. In the
future, she will be buried with you."
However, before those words came out of Sebastian's mouth, Sebastian cut him off. "No! Don't
bury her in the Ford family's family plot. I...don't want to be buried together with her!"
He said that with immense resolution and was without the slightest bit of hesitation. Sabrina and
the maids all became silent for a moment when they heard him. Two lines of tears streamed
down the old man's face and he took over the thermal container from Sebastian's hand once
again, and then he walked to the dining room with faltering steps.
"If there is another life, I will never marry such a forceful and domineering woman who recklessly
harmed others in order to achieve her goals. Never again. I never want to see her again in this
life and in any other lifetime. Let's just not see each other again."
What he said was the truth. Such a woman seemed forceful, but she made the Ford family lose
everything in the end. Every decision she made seemed to be well thought out and shrewd, but
every decision she made was shooting herself in the foot. Such a woman seemed very strong,
her spirit and courage were comparable to men. However, what about the actuality? She actually
just had a mentality of a jealous woman. It was because she was jealous that her husband had
once slept with Grace that she did not care if Grace was a pawn arranged by her and if Grace
was set up by her. As long as Grace was a woman who had been with her husband, she would
have to die! It was to such an extent that not only did she harm others, but she also harmed
herself.
