Punished By His Love By Suzie Chapter 2607
Punished by His Love
Chapter 2607 âKingston , we actually barely knew each other, but Iâ¦I truly have spilled my guts too
much to you yesterday. I am sorry, Kingston. Iâve embarrassed myself. Also, I am actually fine. I justâ¦
owe a little money. I am able to clear it. Just pretend that everything Iâve said yesterday is nonsense.
Donât put it on your mind. After weâve both recovered, you shouldâ¦hurry up and look for your cousin.
Donât have your business delayed.â
Kingston nodded. âI got it. I will. Hmmâ¦â After he thought about it, he said, âIâm very honored that you
treat me as your friend. Iâm even more honored that you spilled your guts to me. I feel that I can carry
out another profession in the future.â
âWhat profession?â Eevonne asked in confusion.
âAgony aunt,â Kingston said very seriously.
Eevonne laughed extremely happily.
âHurry up and eat or it wonât be as tasty anymore.â âMm-hmm.â The girl lowered her head and wolfed
her food down.
Both of them were hospitalized for a week. It was after they had completely recovered that they were
discharged from the hospital. During that period, Eevonneâs relatives
called her so many times that her phone almost exploded. She followed Kingstonâs advice and did not
pick up anybodyâs calls except for the calls made by her parents and her brother. However, her mother
did not even call her once.
Only her father called her. âEevonee, tell me, where are you now? Youâ¦were you severely beaten up
by them? Iâll go fight them to death! I donât want my life anymore. Iâll go look for them now!â
âDad,â Eevonneâs tone was calm but she clearly had a catch in her throat. âDad, youâre already so old.
If youâre able to not fall sick and take care of yourself, you would already be lessening my burden for
me. The people who beat me up are my motherâs relatives. If you were to fight them, she would be
angry again. Therefore , Dad, donât bother about this matter. I can handle it myself.â
The old man cried inconsolably at the other end of the phone. âI-I have failed you. I will make more
money in the future, and Iâll help you pay off your debt, my child. After itâs all been paid off, find yourself
an honest and simple man to start a family and have a child. Life will slowly just get on. Donât dream of
anything unrealistic , itâs fine as long as you can get by.â
Tears instantly streamed down Eevonneâs face. âDad, I understand it now. You donât have to earn
money for me. I can do that myself. Itâs much easier to find a job now than it was a few years ago. I can
work a job during the
day, and I can even be a delivery person at night. I think it shouldnât be a problem for me to make more
than ten thousand dollars a month. I will be able to pay off the money I owe in two years. Dad, just take
care of yourself from now on. Donât be lazy anymore. Save some money to build a house for my
brother. Uncle and his family have taken away our house. We have to have a place to stay.â The old
man on the other end of the call said with guilt,â I know. Tell me where youâre at right now. I have to
know if youâre safe or not.â Eevonne smiled. âDonât worry, Dad. I am very safe. I wonât let myself be in
any kind of danger. If worse comes to worst, I can even call the police. Donât worry about me. Itâs
enough if you just take care of yourself, alright?â
âAlright,â said her father on the other end of the call with a catch in his throat. âHas your mother called?â
Eevonne smiled miserably. âThere will forever only be her siblings and their children in my motherâs
eyes and heart. How could she possibly call me?â
Her father was speechless.
âDonât be sad, Dad. Iâll be hanging up if thereâs nothing else. I have something up over here.â Eevonne
saw that the doctor was making rounds, so she hung up the call.
Ever since that time that her father called to ask about her situation, he called her once every day to
check up on her. He would also ask her every day if her mother had
called me. However, until the day that Eevonne was discharged, which meant that a whole week had
passed, Eevonneâs mother never called.
After they went through the hospital discharge process, Kingston could not help but say, âIâve truly
never seen a mother as heartless as yours. What do you plan to do next? Are you going to get out of
there and find a job or go home to take a look at your mother?â
As soon as Kingston finished his sentence, Eevonneâs phone rang. She picked it up to take a look, and
it was actually her mother who was calling her.
