Chapter 2609 “How could I be so blind to marry this damned son of a bitch back then? I’ve even given

birth to such despicable things! Gosh, I truly deserved to be damned!” Eevonne’s mother shouted

angrily at the top of her lungs over the phone.

Kingston was stunned when he heard over the phone. Eevonne was not lying at all. Even at that

moment, after her daughter was badly beaten up by her family, not only did she not feel sorry for her,

but she kept saying that her daughter was a despicable thing. Kingston was so angry that he did not

know what to say anymore.

Before he said anything, he heard noises coming from the other end of the phone call.

“Aunt, don’t waste time talking to that jerk! Ask Eevonne, that damned thing, to get the hell away from

us as far as she can, and don’t come back anymore in this life! We find her so disgusting!” It was a

woman’s voice.

Kingston could figure it out without thinking much that she must be Eevonne’s fat cousin.

“I don’t mean to criticize you, but I’ve thought that your daughter truly is a despicable thing since she

was a child, and I wasn’t wrong. She actually lied to you for so many years! It’d be better if she were to

just die out there. If she were to come back again, just directly beat her to death!”

“No, my dear sister, there’s no value to her if she was beaten to death! It’ll be better to just marry her to

some single man. We can even get some money out of that.” This was a boy’s voice that sounded

slightly child – like compared to the woman’s voice earlier.

Since he addressed the woman as his sister, then he should be the son of Eevonne’s maternal aunt.

That child could actually say such a thing as marrying Eevonne to an old single man for some money.

That was enough to prove that all these people had never treated Eevonne as their relative and their

older cousin. They truly did not treat Eevonne as a human from the bottom of their hearts. All these

words were extremely harsh to Kingston’s ears when he was just an outsider , let alone Eevonne

herself.

“Madam, don’t you feel upset at all listening to such words that humiliate your daughter?” Kingston

asked her over the phone.

“She is just as they have said. She has done shameful things herself, she is a failure , and she has no

integrity. Could she blame others for criticizing her?” Eevonne’s mother was clearly panting as she

spoke. How could she possibly not feel upset? She was simply too stubborn to say that.

Kingston did not wish to argue with Eevonne’s mother anymore. “Madam, have you really decided to

give your house to Eevonne’s uncle and his wife?”

“The York family owed my brother so much money and they kept delaying the payment. Surely, they

can’t keep delaying it, can’t they? If they don’t use the house to pay him back, then what can they use?

Using money? Does she have money?” Eevonne’s mother said haltingly.

“Do you have it?” Kingston asked sternly.

Eevonne’s mother was speechless. It was after a while that she said, “I’ve always been sick and it’s

because I was infuriated by Eevonne. I’ve been sick for many years! What can I use to pay them back?

Supporting me and letting me get treatment is the responsibility that she should fulfill. You’re an

outsider. What nonsense are you talking about to me? Don’t simply meddle into other people’s

business. Hand the phone to Eevonne! Otherwise, I’ll call the police and say that you’ve kidnapped my

daughter!”

Kingston sneered. “You can call the police now!”

“Don’t waste time talking to him, aunt. Pass the phone to me and I’ll speak to him.” Kingston heard an

incredibly sharp voice on the other end of the call that belonged to a woman.

“Who are you?” Kingston deliberately asked when he already knew. If he has guessed it right, the

person who spoke should be the daughter of Eevonne’s maternal aunt.

“You, an old laborer, have no place to ask who I am. Old man, come over if you have the guts! You’ve

taken a

person from our family and you can’t be doing that for nothing, can’t you? You can’t be so stingy , right?

We’re living in a society that’s governed by laws now. Even if you were to run to the end of the world,

we can still find out!” The woman seemed like she knew the law very well. “Sure. I’ll go over now,”

Kingston said calmly.
