Chapter 320
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

Most members of the Nixon family were unaware of Kallieâs achievements.
In their eyes, Kallie was just someone who squandered money and frequently stayed away from home.
Some servants even whispered that Kallieâs newfound lifestyle had made her conceited. They supposed Kallie habitually left her child with Ewing or Tyrone before heading out for her own amusement.
Kallie never felt the need to justify her actions. She came to understand that it didnât matter what others thought. What truly mattered was the way she chose to live her life. Her priority was to ensure Sophieâs safety and happiness under her watchful eye.
Donning a mask, Kallie walked through the hall flanked by bodyguards. Guests milled around the hall, eagerly awaiting the start of the auction.
Curious and expectant eyes followed Kallie as she navigated through the crowd, her bodyguards in tow. The crowd exchanged remarks in various languages. âI heard sheâs in charge here. She looks so young. Hard to believe she has a child.â
âIâve never seen her up close, but she must be stunning.â
âHow does a woman manage all this? She canât possibly be the boss.â
âThat was uncalled for. Why canât a woman handle it? Sheâs clearly more competent than you.â
Back in the office, Kallie asked Sophie to play for a bit. Davis Ortega, the steward, greeted Kallie with a respectful bow. âMiss, your presence is needed today because Room No.1 has been reserved.â
âNo.1? Was it the Nixon family?â Kallieâs brows knitted together. âOr perhaps a member of the royal family?â
Davis shook his head. âNo, he arrived alone. And thatâs beside the point.â His expression grew more serious. âThe main issue is that he claimed to have purchased something from us, but it turned out to be defective. He labeled it a counterfeit. Heâs already deposited fifty million with us and showed proof of his assets. It wasnât until he was in private room number one that he revealed his true intentions. Heâs here to stir up trouble, Miss. What do you thinkâ¦?â
This was an unprecedented situation. Even if the item was defective, that didnât necessarily mean it was a fake. Davis had handled many such incidents before. Yet, this individual was no ordinary client. He concealed his true intentions, securing room number one before causing any disruptions.
Those who accessed room number one were among their most esteemed VIPs. This implied that if this guest was here to cause a problem, they needed to address it effectively. They had to handle it so adeptly that the guest would have no grounds for complaint.
Left with no other option, Davis had summoned Kallie.
Kallie furrowed her brow, pondering the situation deeply.
Kallie couldnât quite figure out who she had offended. âLetâs go and find out whatâs going on,â Kallie said decisively.
Davis furrowed his brow, his voice laced with concern, âMiss, are you sure about this?â
