Chapter 345
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

Ewing shook his head firmly. âThis belonged to Tyrone. Just keep it with you. If you ever need money, sell it. Itâs worth at least hundreds of millions. Itâll see you through whatever comes your way.â
Kallieâs lips twitched in disbelief. âSeriously? Suggesting I sell this for money in Tyroneâs presence?â
Ewing waved his hand dismissively. âHeâs got plenty of treasures. This is no big deal for him. Kindly take care of him.â
Ewing then handed her a stack of black cards from various banks and a set of house keys.
Kallie was about to refuse when Ewingâs expression darkened, his tone turning icy. âIf you donât take them, Iâll make sure you canât leave Ferelden.â
Kallie didnât doubt his abilities.
With a resigned sigh, Ewingâs tone softened as he continued, âAs your cousin, I havenât done nearly enough for you. My lifeâs busy, and thereâs little I can give. If you donât accept this, I wonât be able to rest.â
Kallie felt a tightness in her chest, a swell of emotion rising. She felt like crying.
Memories of her old days with the Reeves family, where sheâd still felt the warmth of family when Roderick was still around and she was still married to Jake, came rushing back. But the passing years had made her memory somewhat faint.
Later on, quite a few kind souls entered her life. She still remembered the warmth she received from the Hayes and Brooks families. Hayden hadnât escaped her mind.
Kallie appreciated their kindness deeply. Perhaps it was because she had spent so much of her life under the Reeves familyâs roof as an adopted daughter, often looked down upon, that she had never allowed herself to rely on anyone.
Before Kallie knew it, tears welled up in her eyes and began to fall.
Ewing noticed and quickly wiped her tears away. âHey, donât cry. Thatâs on me. I shouldnât have said all that. Everythingâs been arranged for you. You can take my private plane tomorrow. Just rest for now, okay?â
Kallie sniffled, forcing a small smile. âOkay.â
After a much-needed rest, Kallie returned to her home country with Sophie and Tyrone.
True to his words, Ewing had made thoughtful arrangements.
Since Kallieâs leg hadnât fully healed, she still needed a wheelchair.
Upon landing, the three took a rest in the residence, but Kallie wasnât one to sit idle for long. She decided to visit Burmoosâ auction house, eager to check out this new business venture, one that now belonged to her.
Despite being newly opened, the auction house in Burmoos was thriving. According to the manager, every auction drew a full house.
To keep up with demand, the manager had recruited new staff and mentioned that he would bring them by for Kallie to meet someday.
Kallie found the idea tedious and declined. In her view, every manager of her auction houses was carefully selected for their skills and judgment. She trusted them to hire competent staff without needing to consult her over every minor detail.
