Chapter 560
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

Her voice, though slightly constricted, conveyed a sense of control. âOf course itâs easy. Jakeâs on his deathbed. Iâm the only one who matters now. They wouldnât dare harm you. They need me.â
Saniyaâs lips curled into a cruel smirk at the news of Jakeâs precarious condition. âSo much for your powerful protector. It looks like heâs not so invincible after all. Tell me, Kallie, does this mean Stan still has a shot at seizing control of the Reeves family?â
Kallie gave Saniya a sarcastic smile. âHeâs already at the bottom of the ocean. How could he possibly come back?â
Saniyaâs face twisted in anger. âYouâre so cruel! You have no heart!â she hissed, but then she took a deep breath, calming herself. âStan doesnât matter. I have other ways to get what I want.â
Kallie glanced sideways at Saniya. Saniya was nothing like the weak and innocent girl sheâd pretended to be a few days ago. Maybe her earlier behavior had all been an act. What was Saniya really after?
When they got out of the car, Edgar and his men immediately formed a protective circle around them.
Edgar eyed Saniya suspiciously, worried she might try something dangerous. âMiss Mason, weâve kept our end of the bargain and brought you to the airport. Youâre almost on the plane. Youâre free to leave. Itâs time to let Miss Nixon go.â
Saniya sneered. âHold your horses. Iâm not on the plane yet, am I?â
Kallie frowned, her eyes hardening. âSaniya, what are you planning? If you break the agreement and I get hurt, youâre not going anywhere.â
Saniyaâs voice was chilling. âRelax. I didnât say I wouldnât let you go. I just want to add one more thing to our deal.â
Kallieâs heart pounded in her chest. âWhat are you talking about?â
Saniya stared at Kallieâs stomach. She was like a snake ready to strike, sending shivers down Kallieâs spine. Kallie tried to keep her cool, but her hands shook slightly. She still clung to a tiny bit of hope. How did Saniya know she was pregnant?
But Saniyaâs next words shattered any remaining hope Kallie clung to. âSo, which is it? Your life, or the life of the baby youâre carrying? Choose.â
Kallieâs jaw dropped. âHow did you find out Iâm pregnant?â
Saniya smirked, a glint of triumph in her eyes. âI know a thing or two about medicine. You thought you were being sneaky, but any doctor could spot it. I suspected it the moment I saw you on that show. And then, Jake gifting you jewelry? That sealed the deal. You and Jake sure are going all out for this baby, huh?â
A shiver ran down Kallieâs spine. The regret gnawed at her. Saniya was proving to be a tougher opponent than she had anticipated.
âYour threatâs empty. If I die, the baby dies too. So, what choice are you giving me?â Kallie retorted.
The dagger shifted from Kallieâs neck to her pregnant belly.
