Chapter 594
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

The servant whoâd brought the news explained, âItâs not what you think, maâam. Apparently, White was smitten with Miss Perry the moment he saw her yesterday. He just wanted to⦠Well, to get a glimpse of her. But she caught him, and things got out of hand. If Miss Perry hadnât screamed for help, who knows what would have happened? Whiteâs always been arrogant, thinking he could get away with anything because of Mr. Griffin Perry. But this time, even Mr. Griffin Perry is washing his hands off White. To avoid being implicated, Mr. Griffin Perry even advised Mr. Ernesto Perry to kill White.â
A wave of dizziness hit Kallie, and the bowl tumbled from her grasp, smashing into a thousand pieces on the floor. The servant eyed Kallieâs pale face and asked, âMiss Nixon, are you alright?â
âIâm fine,â Kallie lied, digging her nails into her palms to steady herself. âJust clumsy.â She looked down, trying to mask the fear in her eyes. âWhatâs going on? Is White dead?â
The servant shook his head. âIâm not sure. But heâs probably locked up in the dungeon.â
Kallie rose to her feet, protectively cradling her bump. âIâm going to see whatâs going on.â
The servant blocked Kallieâs way. âMiss Nixon, it might not be a pretty sight. You shouldnât go.â
Kallie plastered on a fake smile. âSure, White helped with the pregnancy stuff, but he was a real jerk to me most of the time. Now that heâs in trouble, Iâm kinda happy about it. I wanna see him squirm. Why canât I go?â
In the end, Kallie got her way and went to the dungeon. Jake was nowhere in sight, but a large bloodstain painted the floor. It looked like theyâd given him a real beating. Anna was sobbing next to Ernesto, putting on a pitiful act.
Ernesto put on a show of comforting Anna, and his rage was directed at Griffin. âYou brought that bastard into our lives!â he roared. âYou swore he was brilliant, but heâs just a piece of shit!â
g Ɐ ln Ï Î½ð® âsâ¤com, where stories thrive Ernesto didnât give a damn about Annaâs feelings. He was pissed purely because of the public humiliation. He saw himself as the king of the hill, untouchable. And some bastard dared to do this to his daughter? It was a direct insult, a challenge to his authority.
Griffin was consumed by a mix of remorse and rage. His hands balled into fists. âDonât worry. Iâll make that son of a bitch pay! Heâll beg for death before Iâm through with him.â
Kallie was offered a chair. She sank into it, her face a blank mask. Inwardly, she was freaking out.
Ernestoâs breathing was still ragged. He shot a suspicious look at Kallie. âWhat are you doing here?â
Kallie plastered on a smile. âI heard what happened and came to see for myself. How could that bastard do that to Miss Perry?â
Annaâs sobs continued, but she looked up at Kallie with a strange, almost searching, expression.
Kallie continued, âThis is Griffinâs fault. If he had been more careful about who he brought along, none of this would have happened. After all, White just worked here. Miss Perry is Mr. Ernesto Perryâs daughter. How could White dare do something like that?â
