Chapter 610
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

Kallieâs heart ached for Cara. She had never meant to drag Clayton and Cara into her nightmare. âIâm so sorry,â she whispered. âThis is all my fault.â Her voice softened with sincerity. âIâll find the best doctors in the world. Iâll make sure Cara gets the help she needs.â
Clayton offered a bittersweet smile. âYou donât need to blame yourself. Iâm just grateful we managed to save her at all costs. Iâm relieved that sheâs safe. Losing the baby was a tragedy. But maybe now she can find peace and rebuild her life.â
Kallie noticed the sadness and helplessness reflected in Claytonâs eyes. She was at a loss for words to comfort him for a moment, so she just said, âEverything will be better. Itâs going to be fine.â
Elsewhere, Saniya awoke in the dungeon. Her body was submerged up to her chest in freezing water, making each breath a struggle. Panic gripped her as she was overwhelmed by a bone-deep cold and a gripping terror.
âIs anyone around?â Saniya screamed, her voice echoing off the damp walls, struggling against the chains that held her down.
The cold gnawed at Saniya, and she cursed aloud, âWhere the hell is everyone? Are you all dead? Do you even know who I am? Let me out!â
With a slow creak, the door to the dungeon opened. A group of men marched in, led by Griffin.
Griffinâs face was a mask of fury, his eyes gleaming with murderous intent as he stared down at Saniya.
Saniya trembled for a brief moment but quickly steeled herself. She shouted at Griffin with defiance, âWhat the hell is this? Why am I here?â
Griffinâs lips curled into a cruel smile. âI had my suspicions, but now they are confirmed. Youâve been working with Kallie all along. You traitorous wretch! Havenât we treated you well enough? And this is how you repay us? You thought you could betray us and get away with it?â
Saniyaâs eyes widened in shock. How had they found out so quickly? But she wasnât ready to give up. âYes, Iâve worked with Kallie, but I didnât betray the Perry family. You need proof. You canât just throw accusations without evidence.â
Griffin sneered, âYou want proof? Fine. Iâll show them to you. But until then, youâll stay here. Iâm in no rush. Weâll talk about your release when youâre ready to confess and admit.â
Saniyaâs face drained of color as Griffin turned to leave. âGriffin! Please!â
She began with furious curses, but her voice soon turned into desperate pleas.
Griffin found Ernesto waiting outside the dungeon, Ernestoâs face drawn with anger as he sat in his wheelchair.
âDonât worry. Iâll deal with her,â Griffin muttered.
Ernestoâs fists clenched, his chest heaving with rage. âDamn Saniya! If not for her, none of this would have happened.â
