Chapter 812
Unspoken Hearts: My Neglected Mute Wife’s Escape

âI need to attend to something quickly,â Kallie informed her children on the video call, her tone apologetic.
With that, Kallie disconnected and hurried to the source of the cries.
Before she could see the child, a familiar, stern voice cut through the air.
âWhy are you crying? Tears wonât help you here. You donât belong in a place like this. Get out, you filthy scum! If you stay, I wonât hold back,â Rola warned, her voice harsh and unsympathetic.
Earlier, at the party, Kallie had held out a spark of hope that Rola would acknowledge her mistakes, but soon Rola resumed her abusive attitude.
A slight frown appeared between Kallieâs brows, and a hint of resignation shone in her eyes.
Rola was a basket case.
Jeanetteâs heart was pounding with fear as she noticed Rola approaching, flanked by several intimidating men.
Tears streaming down her face, she pleaded, âI canât leave. My sister brought me here and I have to wait for her. If I disturb you, I will step aside and stay out of your way.â
âNo.â Rolaâs arms were crossed over her chest, a white bandage encircled her forehead, stained with faint traces of blood.
The earlier public humiliation had fanned a raging storm inside Rola, and now she had found the perfect target for her anger.
Jeanette wasnât going anywhere.
With a haughty gesture, Rola declared, âThis is my house. You are an unwanted guest and a nuisance. Itâs time you paid for that.â
Trembling, Jeanette mustered the courage to ask, âWhat price?â
A mischievous grin spread across Rolaâs face as she pointed to the lake behind Jeanette.
âTake a dip in the lake.â Jeanetteâs eyes widened, her disbelief palpable as she turned to Rola.
The thought of watching Jeanette struggle in the water made Rola laugh, her amusement tinged with cruel satisfaction.
âWhatâs the matter, too scared to swim? Well, if you donât jump in, I guess Iâll have to push you a little.â
At Rolaâs command, a servant grabbed Jeanette by the wrist.
Panic swept over Jeanette, and her voice trembled with fear as she pleaded, âI canât swim! I really canât swim! Whatever I did, Iâm sorry. Please donât be angry.â
Jeanette, ever so submissive, tried to appease Rola, but to no avail.
For Rola, the thrill was in torturing the timid, and she wasnât about to give in.
Impatiently, Rola blurted out, âWhat are you waiting for? Throw it now!â
With those harsh words, another servant began to drag Jeanette into the murky waters of the lake.
Jeanetteâs fear turned to terror, and her screams increased just as Kallie passed by.
By the time Kallie reached them, Jeanette was already hanging over the water.
Below Jeanette, the lake glistened in shades of green and black, visibly dirty and undoubtedly deep.
For a child, a fall would be disastrous, much worse for someone as young as Jeanette.
Overwhelmed with frustration, Kallie exploded.
âGet the girl up at once, or Iâll call the police!â her voice pierced the air like a siren.
Rola turned around, irritation briefly crossing her face.
