Chapter 97
Mr. Chairman’s Devious Wife
Chapter 97
âWho did you say it was?â Lawrence frowned when he heard his secretary Minâs words.
âMiss Lianne Ramirez is causing a scene outside,â Min said, his face as cold as his voice. âShe refused
to leave.
âDo everything to make her leave.â
âSheâs threatened to use social media to-â
âThen let her in, you idiot! What are you waiting for!?â Lawrence hissed before he leaned back in his
chair. Just the mention of Lianneâs name was enough to ruin his already ugly mood. He glanced at his
passport and other documents on his table before he grabbed each and every one of them and hid
them in the drawer, making sure it was locked before Lianne arrived.
Lianne Ramirezâ¦
He gritted his teeth.
He should have silenced that woman a long time ago, but he couldnât. Sadly, he couldnât.
Not long after, Min came back with Lianne in tow. Just as Lawrence expected, the woman looked like
hell. Eyebags, a pale appearance, and a face that looked like she had drunk all booze in a store and
snorted all drugs all day. Fucking hell.
âWhat are you doing here?â he asked.
Lianne looked around his office, eyebrows lifting as if she couldnât believe that he was staying in this
place. Then she looked at Min. âYou couldnât even say Hi to your mother?â
âThis is not the time for that,â Lawrence said, trying to calm his voice.
âNot time for greetings?â Lianne snorted. âIs this how you trained your children? To not even know how
to greet their own mother?â Lianne looked at Min. âI spent forty weeks carrying you, bitch, the least that
you can do is smile at me.â Her eyes were full of hatred-as always.
âIf you came here to cause a scene
âI came to talk,â Lianne interrupted Lawrence. âI know you are leaving.â

âWhere did you hear that from?â Lawrence asked.
âPleaseâ Lianne sat on the couch as she snorted. Then she looked at Min. âCan I get at least some
coke? I am thirsty. Maybe whiskey if you have one. On the rocks.â
Hearing this, Min left the room without saying anything. Satisfied with her sonâs reaction, Lianne looked
at Lawrence. âI need money.â
âI canât give you more.â
âBefore you fucking leaveâ¦â Lianne said. She then took a cigarette and a lighter from her purse.
âYou canât smoke hereâ¦â
âOh pleaseâ¦â Lianne snorted as she lit the cigarette. âThe house isnât even yours. Stop acting like you
own it.â
Lawrenceâs face immediately turned ugly.
âWhat?â Lianne snorted. âYour bitch is no longer here. Do you think she would care if your office smells
like cheap smoke?â Seeing his face turn red as if he was about to explode from anger, Lianne let out
another snort. âI came for money and you will give me what I want unless you want me to tell everyone
that you poisoned your own wife for her money.â
âShut up.â
âA hundred grand.â
âYou-â
âYou know what? Letâs make it half a mil. What do you think?â Lianne smirked before she started
smoking.
âI should have killed you a long time ago.â
âBut you couldnât, right?â Lianne snorted. âI mean⦠wouldnât that break \my kidâs heart?â
âLianneâ¦.â Lawrence growled, his glare already containing daggers. âDo not push me⦠you know how
I am.â
âThen kill me.â Lianne shrugged, leaning back on the large couch. âCome onâ¦â

Chapter 97 âLianneâ¦â
âI called Charlotte. She said sheâs pregnant with a Beaumontâs child.â Lianne sneered. âCan you
believe that?â
âWhat did you-
âCurrently, the Beaumont Family is hiding here somewhere until they do a DNA test and confirm the
child has the blood of a Beaumont,â Lianne said. âWhat do you think? Should I just call the Beaumont
Family and ask them for money in exchange for some of your secrets?â
âI meanâ¦â Lianne continued. âIt shouldnât matter⦠right? Just a few secrets wouldnât actually hurt you
right?â
âYou-â Lawrence frowned. Min informed him that Charlotte was in the
US, but she soon vanished from their radar. He assumed that she went back to Europe or was trying to
salvage her career by doing god knows what. Who would have thought that she was being hidden by
the Beaumont Family?
But isnât this a very good opportunity for him?
âMake it a million thenâ¦â Lianneâs words brought him back from his stupor. âA million and I will leave
this fucking country. I should go somewhere and start doing Buddhism or something. You wonât see me
again.â
Lawrence narrowed his eyes. How could he believe someone who had been an addict all her life?
âYou wouldnât really want me bothering your precious daughterâs right?â Lianne said. âUnless of course,
you wanted me to tell them everything that I know.â
âYou have no proof of anythingâ¦â Lawrence said. At one point, his landed on his other drawer where
he kept his gun. His office is soundproof. Moreover, no one would actually care if this woman die She
was an orphan and most of her friends were either high or drunk stuck in a casino somewhere.
He was confident that no one would look for her if she disappeared. Almost immediately, Lawrence
created a perfect alibi in his mind, the perfect cover if she disappeared. With money, everything can be
very easy. Plus, getting rid of her corpse would be a breeze.
His only concern is Min who is standing outside of his office.

âYou are lucky, you are my kidâs motherâ¦â he grumbled.
âOf course, I am.â Lianne chuckled. âNow⦠you should start calling people for money. I am not leaving
this place until I get my money,â Lianne said, her eyes met his before she started chuckling again. She
was mocking him. The woman thought that she could do whatever she wanted because she was the
mother of his children.
She was wrong.
âAh⦠speaking of proof. Did I tell you that I recorded this conversation and most of our conversations
in the past?â Lianne asked. âOne click and they will be sent to Sofia Lockhart and youâ you, my
dearest, will rot in prison. Hahahahaha!â Lianne started giggling.
âYou really think I cannot do something about youâ¦â Lawrence smiled. As always, the woman was
bluffing him. To get what she wanted, Lianne had a habit of bluffing him. She had been doing this for
years!
In the past, Lawrence would always give her what she wanted because he feared that she would ruin
Charlotteâs career or bother Eunice Lockhart and Sofia Lockhartâs lives. However, everything is different
now. Slowly his hand opened the drawer where he kept his gun.
âWhat?â Lianne cackled. The woman was clearly too high to even know that coming in here was futile.
She must have spent the whole night drinking and snorting cocaine and that made her fearless. Again,
she laughed and started smoking, ignoring him. âTime is ticking, Lawrence. Get me my money now and
I am leaving.â
Lawrence held his gun, his hand wrapped around the handle tightly.
âYou knowâ¦â Lawrence calmly said. âYou shouldnât have come here.â
âWhat?â Lianneâs voice wavered.
âI already poisoned one person, Lianneâ¦â Lawrence said. âDo you really think that I wouldnât dare to
end your miserable life?â
Just as he expected, Lianne stared at him. For the first time, fear flashed in her eyes. The sudden
change in her expression, however, surprised Lawrence. What the hell is wrong with this woman?
âAre you going to kill me?â Lianne said. âJust so you know⦠if I donât walk out of that gate, a friend of
mine will

âYou have no friends, Lianne,â Lawrence said. This woman had been

using his money to pay for everything. She had been staying in cheap motels for years now. She
moved to different states every now and then and never stayed long enough to have âfriendsâ.
Lawrence knew this as he had his people follow her around. âYou have no family too,â Lawrence
smirked as he got up, showing the gun that he was holding.
Just as he expected, Lianne looked like a deer in headlights. Just as he expected, the woman was still
high. Sheâs confused. It was as if she just realized the fact that she was alone.
âYou-â Lianne immediately got up. âWhat are you-â she stumbled back. âStay away from me.â
Lawrence did not move. Instead, he just stared at her, stared at his prey.
âLet go of your phone, Lianneâ¦â Lawrence said.
âWhat-I-â
**BANG**
The loud sound of the gun echoed inside the room. A broken lamp next to Lianne crumbled on the
floor. âThe room is soundproof⦠for my meetings,â Lawrence said. âNo one would know if I used this
gun on your head.â Lawrence smiled.
âYou- Are you not- the police-
âPleaseâ¦â Lawrence snorted. He was already planning on leaving this country. In fact, his flight is just
a few hours from today. Obviously, this was done under a new alias that Mr. William Clarence provided
the panic on Lianneâs face, Lawrence smiled.
Oh⦠he never even realized how good it would be to see someon pupils dilate with fear as they stare
at him. If he knew, he would done something like this a long time ago.
âTsk- give me your phone- â Lawrence said. âI am not the most pÃ¥ person in the world, Lianne, so you
better-
âNo-â Lianne interrupted him. âIf-if you really- â
**BANG**
ing
A loud bang interrupted Lianneâs words. However, this was not the soun of a gun. Instead, it was the
sound of the door of his office as it was
abruptly opened by⦠police officers.
