Heâs a Gem A striking young man entered the room. He seemed confident and intelligent, while his charisma made him more manly than a typical marketing manager.
âThis is Grayson Newell,â Atlas said, âHe can meet all your needs. Of course, youâre still my womanâ

His words made me flush. He always spoke so boldly before me. I mumbled, âWhat do you mean, your woman?â
Grayson scratched his head and grinned, addressing me, âMs. Chloe.â
I gazed at him and asked, âIf I wanted you to investigate something, could you do it?â
Grayson glanced at Atlas, then replied, âAnything you want, including contracts.â
His confident response surprised me. It was audacious, but I liked it. Meanwhile, Atlas wasted no time telling Grayson, âStart work tomorrow and obey Ms. Chloeâs instructions. You can go home now.â
âHâHey, I still have some things to ask him!â I was interested in Grayson.
âGet out.â Atlas instructed Grayson in a low voice, then lowered his head to say to me, âYour time only belongs to me now.â
âYes, Mr. Atlas!â Grayson nodded and left in a hurry.
âHey, what are you doing? I still have questions for him!â I protested, feeling disappointed. âCan you stop being so overbearing all the time?â
Atlas turned to me with a hint of selfâmockery in his smile. âIt seems Iâm not welcome here.â

I couldnât suppress my jealousy. âYou can do anything you please at my place, and you still dare say youâre not welcome here? Then, Mr. Domineering, enlighten me on what I should do to make you feel welcome.
He smirked and leaned closer, whispering, âGive⦠yourself⦠to me.â

If youâre leaving, donât bother coming back. You always disappear without a word and act like itâs reasonable.â
Atlas smirked at me and spoke sharply, âAre you sure you donât hate me?â
I I was stunned, and my eyes welled with tears. âHave I ever said I hate you? You twisted my words. You didnât call me when youâre back. Whoâs the unwelcome one here? Youâre busy with work and somebody else, so who am I?
