Chapter 279
Beyond the Divorce
Watching by the Sidelines I glanced at Ivanna in puzzlement. After all, I had never interacted with Harmony before, yet she knew my name. I knew Ivanna was equally surprised.
âYes, I am,â I replied confidently.
Harmony smiled faintly. âSomeone kept telling me that someone looks similar to me. I didnât expect us to have a resemblance.â
I immediately realized what she was referring to. Something told me she had met someone inside the restaurant.
âMs. Harmony, may I ask how old you are?â I calmly inquired.
She hesitated momentarily. Her eyes turned cold as she asked in annoyance, âWhy?â
âOh, donât overthink it. Iâm not interested in your private life. I just want to know whoâs older between us,â I continued smilingly, âI assume youâre younger because of your beauty and charm.â
âI think so, too,â she replied firmly.
âThen, itâs true that you look like me,â I contradicted her earlier statement, âIâm the original, after all.â I discreetly scoffed at the idea that I resembled her.
Lauren returned from the restroom and saw Harmony standing before me. The former glanced at me and cleverly exclaimed, âOh, my! Chlo, she does look a lot like you!â
Harmony seemed displeased.
âWho told you we look alike, Ms. Harmony? That person must have poor eyesight. I donât have your beauty at all,â I said, wanting to confirm my suspicions about her meeting someone.
âMy boyfriendâs cousin said so,â Harmony spoke arrogantly.
I smiled and nodded. âI donât think so. Youâre you, and Iâm me. People shouldnât compare us to each other agree Harmony contradicted her earlier statement.
our boyfriende cousin must have poor sight,â I commented honestly. âIf you have the chance, tell Joked at Lan and naked, âShall we go?
âSure.â Lauren turned to Ivanna. âYou should deal with those little vixens back at your company. Weâre leaving. Make sure to manage them well and not let them cause trouble.â
I couldnât help but chuckle at Laurenâs blunt remarks.
Meanwhile, Harmony was unhappy, perhaps from being embarrassed for the first time. She glared at me as I entered my car and honked the horn, waving goodbye to Ivanna.
Lauren joined me in the car, and I told her, âThis Harmony is not likable!â
âMaybe sheâs just eager to become her boyfriendâsâ girlfriend!â I added with a laugh. However, I wondered about Atlas. I didnât expect him to be someoneâs âboyfriend.â I needed to ask him whose âboyfriendâ he was.
*Stella seems cunning.â Lauren commented frankly, âIs she trying to sow discord between us?â
âExactly,â I didnât deny it, âItâs Stellaâs favorite tactic. I feel she mightâve done something to ruin the relationship between me and Llora. Otherwise, Liora wouldnât be so distant.â
âIvannaâs right. This small incident shows Harmony is playing with fire and will eventually burn herself,â
Lauren said disdainfully.
I couldnât help but snort. I smiled teasingly, saying, âNo one can save Harmony from burning herself.
Stella wants to watch the chaos from the sidelines, so letâs give her what she wants.â
Lauren narrowed her eyes at me. âWhat do you have in mind?â
I raised an eyebrow at her. âA magician never reveals their secrets.â
