Chapter 475 A Serious Discussion
Beyond the Divorce
A Serious Discussion | "Mr. Atlas, when did it become okay for you to dismiss my people as you please?" I asked with a hint of annoyance. Grayson chuckled and left.
Grayson, of course, knew about our relationship. Once Grayson left, Atlas sat on the couch. He extended his hand.
âCome here.â I smiled and walked toward him. He grabbed my hand, pulling me onto his lap. âWhat did you have for lunch?â âIate everything you made in the morning, so I'm not in the mood for lunch,â I admitted. âWhy did you come?â âI missed you. Is that a good reason?â His deep eyes locked onto mine.
âWhy havenât I seen you be this clingy before?â I teased.
âIâm addicted! I'm obsessed!â He declared.
This man was shameless, saying such things with a straight face.
He pinched my cheek. âWhat do you want for dinner?â I still had no appetite, so I hadnât even thought about dinner. âI havenât decided yet. What do you want?â âI'just want you!â His words almost left me breathless. I pointed at his nose. âI'll bite you if you keep doing this. Do you believe me?â .
He burst into laughter. I gazed at him, feeling myself getting lost in his smile.
When he noticed me staring at him, he took me in his arms and leaned in for a kiss.
I struggled to push him away, but he was relentless. This was an office and, more importantly, my office. Yet he dared to act so audaciously.
He was too much. I couldnât resist him.
After a while, he released me, allowing me to catch my breath.
I glared at him. âThis is an office! You're so shameless!â He squinted and said, âIâve already told your secretary that we have serious matters to discuss so that no one will disturb us.â âDo you think this is the ATL Empire?â I scolded him, âDo you take this as your company as well now? Is this what you mean by serious matters?â âWhat are you implying?â He looked into my eyes.
I blushed and playfully slapped him, and he bit my fingertip. I exclaimed, âYou're trying to kill me!â Then he collected himself and said, âI have a serious matter to discuss!â âGoon.â His expression told me he wasnât joking.
âAbout the Avalon Hills.â He pulled me to sit on the couch. âI know you're also fighting for it.â âNo, I'm considering giving it up,â I told him.
âOh?â He furrowed his brows. âWhy?â I pondered, unsure if I should share my plan with him. After all, it was a personal matter.
âDo you have reservations about telling me?â âIâm not sure how to put it.â I lowered my gaze, hesitating. After a moment, I looked at him with conflicting emotions.
His eyes were filled with encouragement. âTrust me!â âI...â I took a deep breath and told Atlas about my plan. Then I looked at him, afraid he would think I was too ruthless.
He looked at me for a few seconds, then flicked my nose. âWell done! You're learning to strategize!â Iwas at a loss, staring at him in disbelief. âDonât you think Iâm a bit too vindictive?â "It depends on the individual. Hit back to deter them and secure the territory you want. In principle, I'd prefer you to stay by my side, but I support your determination."
