Chapter 33
A Divorce After My Rebirth
Chapter 33 Domestic Violence Examination
Natalie went upstairs.
Bianca had been waiting for her. When she saw Natalie with disheveled clothes, marks on her neck,
and finger imprints on her face, she was instantly furious.
âHe hit you?!â She asked.
Even her breathing had become heavy with how angry she was.
Natalie nodded. Her complexion didnât look too good.
When she recalled Cedricâs gaze, which looked like he was about to devour her, sheâ¦!
When she closed her eyes, all she could recall was the stinging sensation on her face from his slap.
Her face still burned from the impact, and the sensation of being strangled around her neck lingered.
Bianca placed a coat over her shoulders, and then she pulled on her own jacket.
âLetâs go to the hospital,â Bianca suggested.
âItâs fine,â Natalie said hesitantly. These injuries were relatively minor, and she didnât think they required
a hospital visit. But Biancaâs response caught her off guard.
âThis is domestic violence! Itâll be helpful in the legal battle, Bianca explained.
Natalieâs expression tightened at the thought.
With that, she followed Bianca downstairs and into her car.
Domestic violenceâ¦!
She had never considered that Cedric would resort to violence. Now, she considered his actions from
an outsiderâs perspective.
She once boasted that she was happy, saying that no one in the world treated her better than Cedric.
But now, how did Cedric look like to the people around her?
Natalieâs heart ached. She had never experienced this level of pain before, even after being rebom.
And now.
could barely believe the situation she was in right now.
Blanca drove the car and looked at Natalieâs somewhat pale face.
She asked, âWhatâs wrong? Do you still refuse to believe it?â
Natalie glanced at Bianca and replied, âItâs not that⦠Iâm just in disbelief!â
Even though Cedric had already slapped her, choked her, and she felt the sensation of suffocation, she
still found it hard to accept.
In her eyes, Cedricâs infidelity was already a catastrophe, and now it had escalated to domestic
violence.
âHe and you arenât from the same world. Thereâs much heâs capable of that you donât know,â Bianca
said
calmly, as if she had experienced similar situations before.
Natalie tensed once again.
âIâI know,â she whispered.
She was all too aware of how far Cedric could go, and he was only beginning to reveal his true self.
âNat,â Bianca said, her voice filled with concern
Before Bianca could continue, Natalie smiled bitterly and said, âDo you know why he came to see me
tonight?â
âWhy?â
âHe wanted to take me to the hospital to apologize to Isabella. He said that she lost the use of her legs
and eyes, so an apology from me isnât an excessive demand.â
âIs he a complete idiot?â Bianca was furious once again.
Just an apology?
Wasnât he also human? Forget about women. Even men wouldnât think an apology would resolve this
entire situation, right?
Yet, Cedric seemed to believe that?!
What exactly were they supposed to say about him?
Hatalle didnât care about Cedricâs current state. She simply laid bare all her recent hardships in front of
Bianca
He even got Stefan to find evidence that I bribed and kidnapped those people who targeted teabella
âWhat? You didnât do it, yet somehow thereâs evidence from out of nowhere?â
âExactly!â
In fact, Natalie was sure that the evidence had been prepared for a long time.
After going through the transactions in her bank account recently, she realized that it had started a year
ago. She had been unaware that she had slowly fallen into her enemyâs trap starting then!
However, the rumors about Isabella and Cedric had only started six months ago!
It was clear that her enemy wanted to drive her completely insane. Everything was planned with
precision, even considering her love for Cedric.
âIn that case, you should divorce Cedric as soon as possible. Being part of that family brings nothing
good!â Bianca commented.
How did they even get to this conversation?
Wasnât it tiring to scheme and manipulate others in secret like this?
âYou have your own talents. Leaving Cedric will only make you better. A woman doesnât have to rely on
her husband. The woman herself is the greatest asset,â Bianca continued.
Natalie nodded in agreement, particularly when she looked at Biancaâs life over the years. Although
she lived alone and was independent, she was a role model in many ways. She didnât have to deal with
a toxic motherâinâlaw, and no one was constantly scrutinizing her to see when she would have
children.
Biancaâs only worries revolved around helping her clients win legal battles and protecting their
interests. On her vacations, she flew abroad to go skiing, basked in the sun by the beach, or explored
canyons.
She lived a life that many women wouldnât even dare to dream of.
Natalie never found out which hospital Isabella and Rebecca were in. Bianca took her to the nearest
hospital to her home.
It was late at night, and the doctors were initially reluctant to examine her. However, when they heard
that It was for a domestic violence examination, they quickly checked Natalie for injuries and marked
them as more severe on the medical report.
When receiving the report, the doctor looked at Natalie and said, âWho says someone canât survive in
this world if you divorce? Pahl I wish you all the best,â
+15 BONUS
âThank you,â Natalie replied, taking the report and walking away. However, the doctor stopped her with
a
question.
âYou seem familiar. Have we met somewhere before?â
âI donât think so. I rarely get sick. Maybe I look similar to someone youâve seen,â Natalie replied and
quickly walked away.
But she knew the doctor hadnât made a mistake.
During this time, she was either trending with her uncle or being compared to Isabella in online
discussions. It was no wonder that many people found her face familiar.
Bianca was waiting outside. She stood up when she saw Natalie coming out and asked, âHow did it
go?â
âItâs all taken care of. Letâs go.
âGive me the report,â Bianca extended her hand. She was now Natalieâs divorce attorney, and she
needed these pieces of evidence immediately.
Natalie handed it to her, and Blanca was about to put it in her bag. Before she could do so, they heard
Cedricâs voice, âWhy are you here?â
Natalie and Bianca both turned to see Cedric standing in the corridor with a cold look on his face.
He had tried to bring Natalie to the hospital to apologize to Isabella, but she had refused to cooperate.
So, what was Natalie doing here in the middle of the night?
Cedric approached them with long strides. His steps were heavy, and they sounded foreboding in the
cold corridors.
Blanca quickly slipped the medical report into her bag and took Natalieâs hand.
âLetâs go!â
She was now more eager than Natálie to avoid seeing Cedric. They had originally believed that having
Cedric protect Natalie was the only good thing about her being part of the Johnson family.
But who could have thought things would end up this way?
Natalie walked with Bianca, not wanting to engage with Cedric here. However, a hand forcefully
grabbed
her wrist.
hy are you running? Cedricâs voice was chilly.
âCould you please let go?â
âWhy? Are you afraid Iâd bite?â
âI said, let golâ Natalie said more forcefully. She tried to shake off his hand, but he showed no intention
of
releasing her.
Natalie stared at the hand that held her wrist, knowing he wouldnât let her go. However, she was afraid
for
Bianca at this moment, fearing that Cedric would turn on her.
So, she turned to Bianca and said, âBia, wait in the car for me, okay?â
âBut Natâ¦â
âGo!â Natalieâs tone was firm, making Bianca understand her concerns.
Reluctantly, she released Natalieâs hand. Before she left, she shot a fierce glare at Cedric.
Now, only Natalie and Cedric were left.
She had no more inhibitions and looked at him with an even colder gaze.
âWhat did you give to Bianca just now?â Cedric inquired before she had a chance to speak.
