Chapter 51
A Divorce After My Rebirth
Chapter 51 Good News
Natalie turned to look at Cedric, who was still holding Isabella in his arms.
Isabella⦠She didnât appear flustered at all, despite being exposed.
She remained calmly nestled in Cedricâs embrace.
When Natalie had lunged at her, Cedric had already set her down. However, he still had one arm
wrapped around her, protecting her.
The irony of the situation wasnât lost on anyone.
Cedric was momentarily frozen. He glanced at his own hand and then at Natalie. The guilt that briefly
crossed his eyes was quickly concealed.
What remained was a warning and disappointed look directed at Natalie.
And as for Natalieâ¦.
âHow many times does this make?â Natalie asked.
Cedricâs tone was icy. âYouâre becoming more and more unruly,â
âHah!â
Unruly, huh?
At this moment, Cedric bore a strikingly similar image to his father. This was how his father usually
spoke
to Rebecca.
All men from the Johnson family were the same.
What was a woman to them?
Natalie had thought that Cedric was different than them. She had thought he was an exception.
Ultimately, it seemed that the apple didnât fall too far from the tree.
was
When they had a falling out, Cedric was suddenly as oppressive as the head of the family. Everyone
had
to listen to him, and everyone else was wrong.
âCedric, you disgust me,â Natalie said, turning around and walking away.
She no longer wanted to see him.
How many times has it been now?
Natalie had also lost count.
She had forgotten how many times this man had slapped her because of Isabella.
Was he disappointed in her?
No, he didnât have the right
She was even more disappointed in him.
âStop right there!â Cedric shouted at Natalie.
He was about to chase after her, but Isabella fainted in his arms.

Natalie left the hospital in a daze.
Standing under the night sky, she shivered when the cold wind swept over her. She was wearing thin
clothing, and the chill seemed to penetrate deep into her bones
But this was nothing compared to the chill in her heart.
It also didnât even compare to the coldness Cedric had brought into her life.
She pulled out her phone with shaky hands and called Bianca, who picked up quickly. When Natalie
greeted her, her voice was filled with helplessness.
On the other end of the line, Bianca was taken aback by Natalieâs tone.
âWhere are you?â
âIâm⦠at the hospital.â
âAre you injured? Stay where you are! Iâm on my way!â
With that, Bianca abruptly ended the call. She didnât even ask which hospital Natalie was at.
Clearly, Bianca was also panicked.
When the call ended, Natalie looked up at the night sky filled with dark clouds. Tears welled up in her
eyes, but she forced them back down.
Perhaps even the heavens pitied her.
Soon rain began to pour
When Bianca arrived, she saw Natalie standing in the rain, her whole body drenched. Her appearance
was
so heart wrenching that it sent shivers down anyoneâs spine
âNat!â Bianca got out of her car and rushed toward her. She took off her coat and wrapped it around
Natalie
Then, she scolded Natalie, âWhat are you doing? Are you trying to get yourself killed?â
Natalieâs health wasnât good, and her body surely couldnât endure being soaked in the rain like this.
Natalie looked at Bianca
Her face was wet, and it was hard to tell if it was rain or tears. The tears she had tried to hold back.
seemed to have finally escaped.
âWhereâs Cedric?â Bianca asked, probably aware of why Natalie was there.
Instead of answering, Natalie simply stared blankly at Bianca.
If even Bianca wasnât there for herâ¦
Would they have succeeded in driving Natalie to her death at this moment?
In a choked voice, she replied, âHeâs inside.â
âDid he bring you here?â
âYeah.â
*Iâll go find him.â
Bianca was infuriated when she heard that Cedric had brought her here.
He had left Natalie out in the rain?!
And where was he? Inside that womanâs hospital room?
But as she turned to leave, Natalie tugged at her clothes. âBia.â
âLet go of me. Iâll go tear that bitch apart!â
âNo need.â
âNatalie, why are you still so softâhearted?â
+15 BONUS
Soft? Yes, she was soft in her previous life.
But in this life, she wouldnât be!
She just refused to resort to such means to confront them. She wanted to handle things in the most
typical way.
âCome with me for a checkup.â
âAre you injured?â
âYeah,â Natalie nodded.
Upon hearing this, Bianca was even more furious.
However, Natalie didnât want to stay here any longer.
After he had dealt with Isabella, Cedric tried to call Natalie. However, her phone had already been
switched off!
When he finally came out, he saw Bianca supporting a drenched Natalie into the car.
His heart tightened for a moment.
He recalled how Natalie had looked back in the hospital room. Her once gentle eyes had lacked
warmth, and only an icy glint had remained.
Bianca took Natalie to another hospital for a checkup. The dim lighting outside had made it difficult to
see the bruises on Natalieâs face, but Bianca could clearly see the marks now.
She was furious!
âHow many times has he hit you for that wretched woman?â
Natalie closed her eyes.
She didnât want to discuss this matter, because she had lost count herself.
âIâll drive you back.â
They had done what they came to do, so Bianca wanted Natalie to rest. It was already past two in the

Natalie shook her head. âI have something important to do.â
âWhat else do you need to do?â
âI need⦠Cedric to lose!â Natalieâs eyes flashed with intense hatred.
Bianca couldnât help but shudder after seeing this side of Natalie. She rarely saw Natalie in this state. It
was evident that this time, her hatred for Cedric had reached its limit.
After leaving the hospital, Bianca planned to drop Natalie off at the coffee shop. However, Natalie
refused. After all, it was too late.
She wanted Bianca to go back and rest.
It was already so late at nightâ¦.
Under normal circumstances, she would never have called Bianca. But tonight, she had felt extremely
helpless.
Yes. Given the situation at the time, she didnât know what to do and just wanted to find a reliable
shoulder
to lean on.
When Natalie returned to the coffee shop, Karina and the others were anxiously pacing around. After
several rounds of revisions to their designs, they had become more uncertain about the situation with
Irwin
âYouâre backâ¦â Karina saw Natalie and was quite excited.
After all, Natalie still had her skills. Without her tonight, this deal might fall through.
However, when she noticed the marks on Natalieâs face, her heart skipped a beat.
Natalie said, âLetâs get started.â
âSâstarted?â
âYeah.â Natalie nodded firmly. The determination in her eyes was unprecedented. This confidence
seemed to motivate everyone instantly, and they straightened up.
Natalie took her seat before her computer. She took up her pencil and began sketching and
researching.
No one knew where her determination and confidence came from.
But one thing was clear, she wanted Cedric to experience his first defeat in life!
Yea, she wanted him to lose!

Cedric had never faced off against Irwin before. He had always had the upper hand in Verde City,
never having anyone make him lose.
But this timeâ¦!
The lights in the coffee shop remained on the entire night.
