Chapter 181
When She Stops Playing Nice
Chapter 181
Noah had planned to leave right after the dinner heâd hosted, but to get to the bottom of things, he waited stubbornly outside the doors of the Grand Restaurant for a full hour.
Finally, he saw Elsen and Gina exit the Grand Restaurant.
He immediately swung open his car door, stepped out, and hurried after them.
âGinalâ Noah called out to stop Gina.
Gina halted in her tracks, turned around, and met Noahâs gaze. Noah glanced at Gina and then at Elsen, who seemed out of place, and sneered. âYou two know each other?â
âItâs none of your business,â Elsen said c**y
âYou d**n foreigner, you donât get a say here!â Noah barked.
Elsen didnât bother to engage with Noah, showing no sign of anger.
Noah glared at Gina. âIt was you who convinced Dale Group to pull their investment, wasnât it?â
That much was indeed true.
Gina Miller said calmly, âYes.â
*You b**h! While our whole family was racking our brains trying to plead with Dale Group not to withdraw their investment, you were probably gloating over our predicament, werenât you?â
ON
Because she had neither the time nor the interest.
âGina, donât play dumb! I thought Iâd started to see you in a better light, thinking you were better than that b**h Olivia, but now, I think youâre even worse than that t r a m p!â
âYou hypocritically invested 200 million dollars into Miller Group, expecting us to be grateful, right?â
Not even Gina, Elsen practically rolled his eyes in disbelief.
Gina looked at Noah with a detached expression. âStop your wild speculations, and I have no interest in engaging with you. Get lost.â
Noah was furious. âGina, donât think I donât know what kind of sordid relationship you have with this fake foreigner. Iâm telling you. Iâll inform Gabriel! You just wait and see!â
Elsen couldnât take it anymore. âNoah, what nonsense are you spouting? There is no inappropriate relationship between Gina and me. She is myâ¦â
The word âsuperiorâ was only hallway out of Elsenâs mouth when Gina raised her hand to stop him, not wanting to reveal her other hidden identities to
the Miller family,
Noah, however, took their reaction as a sign of guilt.
At that moment, a custom Rolls Royce pulled up in front of the Grand Restaurant.
Gabriel stepped out of the car and, upon seeing Gina, approached her directly.
asmine also alighted from the vehicle, and seeing Gabriel heading towards Gina, she was about to explode with anger. She was ready to intervene but was restrained by Jabari.
Jabari warned her. âIf you want to have dinner with Gabriel today, you better behave yourself.â
Only then did Jasmine reluctantly hall, her gaze toward Glina as venomous as if it were poisoned.
Noah, who was about to leave after issuing his threats, tumed and saw Gabriel.
His eyes lit up. âMr. Jackson, what a timely coincidencel I was just looking for you!â
Gabriel had no interest in engaging with Noah, but Noahâs next words piqued Gabrielâs interest.
âPerfect timing to catch her in the act!â Noah said.
Gabrielâs gaze fell on Noah. âWhat are you implying?â
Noah sneered, pointing at Gina. âGina is having an affair with Elsen, the CEO of Dale Group!
âIf thereâs nothing fishy between them, why would Elsen agree to Ginaâs demand to withdraw investment from Miller Jewels? She just admitted it herself, that she made Elsen pull out the investment. Mr. Jackson, this conniving woman has been unfaithful to you!â
Noah was adamant, growing more and more agitated as he spoke.
Gabrielâs expression indeed darkened.
Noah was smug, but to his surprise, Gabriel turned and delivered a swift punch.
Noah fell to the ground, a metallic taste in his mouth. Confused, he looked up at Gabriel. âMr. Jackson, why?â
Gabriel looked down at Noah, flexing his hand. âYou insult Gina one more time, and Iâll make the entire Miller family pay.â
Noah was shaken by Gabrielâs commanding presence, trembling slightly. He couldnât believe it. Did Gabriel not harbor any doubts about Gina at all?
Intimidated, Noah didnât dare to breathe deeply.
Gabrielâs voice was cold, âGet out of here.â
Noah left, practically crawling away in his haste,
Elsen wanted to explain, âHello, Mr. Jackson. The relationship between Gina and me is absolutely not what that scoundrel Noah said.â
Gabriel glanced at Elsen but said nothing.
Elsen read displeasure in Gabrielâs eyes and instinctively stopped himself from continuing.
Gina gestured for Elsen to leave. âYou can go now.â
âOkay.â Elsen nodded and left.
Gina looked up at Gabriel and started to explain, âAbout himâ¦â
Gabriel interrupted anxiously, âGina, I do believe you. I just⦠donât want to see other men around you.â

Gina was taken aback, then smiled. âGabriel, I donât think Iâm your girlfriend yet, am 17
âAre you saying Iâm not allowed to have other men around me now?â
Gabriel shook his head. âNo, Gina, Iâm sorry. I lost control of my emotions. It wonât happen again.â
Seeing Gabrielâs slightly aggrieved expression, Gina Widened her eyes in surprise.
She laughed. âIâm the chairman of Dale Group, Elsen is my subordinate. He came to have dinner with me to discuss work.â
Gabrielâs confusion cleared, and he even learned about Ginaâs third hidden identity because of this.
On the other side, Jasmine couldnât wait any longer. Every second Gabriel spent talking to Gina was driving her mad. Unable to free herself from Jabari, she threatened to bite him.
Jabari, unable to take it, let her go,
Jasmine ran to Gabriel and tried to cling to his arm, but Gabriel deftly dodged, leaving Jasmine frozen in place, forcing a smile. âGabriel, werenât you going to have dinner with me? Donât make me wait too long,â
Gabrielâs eyes were filled with disgust. For the sake of their familiesâ friendship, Gabriel always tried to be polite to Jasmine, but Jasmine kept pushing
his limits.
Gabrielâs thin lips parted as he was about to speak when Jabari approached, âIndeed, Gabriel, donât keep us waiting too long. Weâre here to discuss business. Donât let your personal matters delay my time,â Jabari said, using a hall-joking tone to case the tension,
Upon seeing Gina, Jabari smiled and said, âMiss Miller, what a pleasant coincidence. By the way, Gabriel is having dinner with us because he wants to buy a piece of land from our family to give to you.â
âHey,â Jabari feigned surprise. âYou probably didnât know that, Miss Miller, did you? Gabriel, Iâm so sorry. Iâve spoiled your surprise. You wonât blame me will you?â
Gabriel, seeing that Jabari had explained on his behalf, softened his expression a bit
