Ethan walked to Gabriel’s office with documents in his hand. The door was ajar. Just as he was about to knock on the door, he heard the conversation between David and Gabriel in the office,

David said, “Mr. Jackson, are you sure you can let Ethan be in charge of this project? I don’t think he’s qualified. After all, he has no experience managing and operating a project. I think it’s quite risky to let him be in charge of such a big project.”

Upon hearing David’s words, Ethan was instantly enraged.

Gabriel responded calmly. “Third Uncle wants Ethan to be in charge. Dad agrees. I have nothing to say.”

When Ethan heard this, he felt a chill in his heart. It was obvious that Gabriel and David did not believe that he could be in charge of a good project. Without Harry’s insistence, such a good thing would not have happened to him.

David did not say anything else.

Ethan decided to forgo knocking on the door. He just pushed it open and entered the office.

Gabriel looked up. The moment he saw Ethan, he noticed Ethan’s calm demeanor. It was likely that Ethan had heard his conversation with David.

However, Gabriel did not mind. He asked as usual, “What’s the matter?”

Ethan’s expression did not look good. He placed the document on Gabriel’s desk. “Uncle Gabriel, this is the appropriation approval. Please take a look.”

Gabriel flipped through it.

David was about to go back to doing his things when Ethan suddenly called out to him, “Wait.”

David looked back at Ethan in confusion.

Ethan said unhappily, “David, do you think that you’d get to be in charge of the project regarding the all-in-one medical examination machine if you say bad things about me to my uncle? Who do you think you are? Are you worthy of snatching the project from me?”

“You are just an obedient dog under Uncle Gabriel!’ Ethan thought but was smart enough not to say this part out loud.

David was surprised to hear that Ethan would think this way after overhearing his conversation with Gabriel.

He said calmly. “Ethan, you’re thinking too much. I’m not trying to compete with you for the project. I’m just raising in reasonable doubts.”

Ethan was even angrier. “Are you suspecting that I’m incompetent? What right do you have to suspect me!”

Gabriel frowned and said coldly, “Be quiet.”

“If you’re not convinced, prove it with your actions. Don’t throw tantrum here.”

Gabriel said coldly.

Ethan felt a little disappointed.

Gabriel did not like Ethan because of that bi*ch Gina. Now, Gabriel even wanted to stop him from scolding an assistant.

Gabriel signed the document and placed it on the table. Although Ethan was not convinced, he knew that it was useless for him to lose his temper here. He took the document and glared at David before leaving.

After he went downstairs, he sat down at a cafe near Jackson Group. Suddenly, a man pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down uninvited.
