Chapter 351
When She Stops Playing Nice
Chapter 351
Just as they were about to leave the casino, Ben, who had been following behind Chuck, couldnât hold back any longer. âMr. Atkinson!â
Chuck turned back impatiently. âWhat?â
âWhy didnât you hit that manager?â Ben couldnât hold back his frustration. At his age, he had never endured such humiliation before. He couldnât bear it.
He couldnât bear this humiliation.
Chuck frowned. âAre you kidding me? Do you know whose casino this is? Weâre not scared of the Barnes family who owns it, but thereâs a crazy person among them. If you get on his bad side, heâll make your life miserable. Itâs a ha*sle, and I donât have time for it.â
In short, Chuck felt that Ben wasnât worth angering the Barnes family.
Ben was speechless. âBut, heâs just the casino manager, right?â
Chuck lost his patience. âDidnât I just tell you? Thereâs a lunatic in the Barnes family. No matter how small the matter is, once he gets crazy, heâll find a reason to harass us. Even if I had hit a coffee server today, heâd find a way to bother us.â
âAnd, do you think too highly of yourself?â Chuck asked with a cold smirk.
âIâve helped you out of the casino, thatâs enough,â Chuck reiterated.
Ben was indignant. âMr. Atkinson, Iâve been working for you for ten years!â
âTen years⦠huh. Havenât you benefited in those ten years as well? Besides, I havenât even settled the trouble youâve caused,â Chuck replied with a sardonic smile.
Chuck knew that a woman named Gina had started investigating his âbusinessâ operations.
Ben broke down. He had overestimated his relationship with Chuck. He calmed himself down and decided not to ask for more. âIâm sorry, Mr. Atkinson. These past few days have been unbearable for me. So, Iâm venting my resentment.â
âAlright, Iâll take you home and make sure youâre settled. Iâll ensure your standard of living wonât differ too much from before. Come on, pull yourself together,â Chuck said nonchalantly
âOkay.â Ben knew when to stop.
As they stepped outside, Chuck noticed a Maserati parked nearby with a stunning woman standing beside it. Her face was cold and composed as she stood there, giving off an air of aloofness.
Chuck instinctively was amazed. At the same time, Ginaâs gaze fell upon Ben. Upon spotting her, Ben felt as if he had seen a ghost.
How could Gina be so persistent and find him?
Ben realized that Chuck was still obsessed with Ginaâs beauty and did not know the seriousness of the problem. He quickly -pulled Chuck. âMr. Atkinson, she is Gina!â
Chuck was stunned for a moment before he came back to his senses. He asked Gina, who was not far away, âMiss, why are you looking at us?â

Chapter 351
âIs it me who caught your attention?â said Gina.
Chuck still had the mood to joke, while Ben was almost speechless.
Ben was afraid that Chuck would take it lightly. âMr. Atkinson, sheâs not that easy to deal with. Sheâs a scary woman.â
Chuck did not seem to be listening to Ben.
Gina said indifferently, âIâm looking for someone, the one beside you.â
Chuck smirked and replied, âMiss Miller, Mr. Presley is my friend. What do you need from him?â
Seeing Ben hiding behind Chuck, seeking protection, Gina deduced that this man must be Benâs boss.
âSettle accounts,â Gina said succinctly.
41%
Chuck understood that Gina wanted to investigate all the evil deeds that Ben had done, which would harm his interests. However, Chuck did not think that a woman and an entrepreneur like her could be so capable.
But if Gina insisted on fighting, Chuck wouldnât prioritize protecting women either. He disliked problems.
Chuck kindly reminded, âMiss Miller, this is Mosnioca, not Shyran, and itâs not your territory.â
âI donât want to waste time with you. Iâm taking Ben with me,â Gina said bluntly.
Chuck realized that this woman was quite stubborn.
He smirked. âFunny, Iâm not in the mood for chitchat either.â
He pulled out a pistol from his pocket, ready to shoot. âMiss Miller, if thereâs an afterlife, do you think youâll regret meddling in things that arenât your business?â
Chuck thought that Gina would surely be scared when he revealed his gun, but Gina maintained her cold expression, leaving Chuck slightly stunned.
Chuck did not notice that Ginaâs fingertips were holding a long and thin silver needle. Just as she was about to use her strength to insert the silver needle into Chuckâs acupuncture point and immobilize him, another car stopped beside her.
Max stepped out of the car and greeted Chuck, âHey Brother, what a coincidence! But why are you pointing a gun at m friend?â
Chuck frowned. Heâd never liked this man anyway. âWhatâs that got to do with you?â
Max continued to smile. âOf course. If you dare to shoot, then I will shoot too.â
Max also took out his gun and aimed it at Chuckâs head. Chuck sheered. âAre you crazy? For a woman?â
Max did not answer Chuckâs question.
Gina was a little surprised that Max would rush over.
âWhen did you return to Mosnioca?â Gina asked.
âAbout the same time as you came to Mosnioca,â Max replied.

Chapter 351
M
Unaware of a manâs sudden arrival, Ben began to urge recklessly âMr. Atkinson, shoot now. Thereâs an old saying in Shyran, âCutting grass and removing roots, and now is a good time.â
Chuck was about to shoot, but suddenly the sound of sirens echoed nearby. Chuck was stunned. âMax, did you call the police?â
Chuck wasnât afraid of the police, but with everyone armed now, the police could perceive them as extremely dangerous. Choosing to shoot could result in them being shot down directly, and he didnât want to die under such unclear circumstances.
Chuck had no choice but to lower his gun first, and Max followed suit. He replied, âIt wasnât me.â
Instinctively, Chuck glanced at the casino exit. Sure enough, a figure had flashed past. Someone from the casino must have called the police.
That person was meddling in other peopleâs affairs.
Chuck was speechless.
The police arrived and said, âSomeone called the police and said that there might be a gunfight here. Please cooperate with our investigation.â
Finding no signs of conflict at the scene and no casualties, the police noted that the individuals carrying guns had valid permits, and the types of guns were legally permissible. They then left.
Taking advantage of the lull in the police investigation of Gina and Max, Chuck swiftly led Ben away.
After the police investigation, Max half-jokingly asked, âWhat did my brother do that he has offended you?â
Gina briefly explained, âYour brother seems to be involved in an extremely nefarious business chain. I was actually tracking Ben, and thatâs how I found out your brother is his boss.â
