He knew he couldn’t keep those experts fooled for long anyway, so why not agree to the meeting?

So Shawn led the three experts to the Grand Restaurant. These specialists in obstetrics and gynecology were eager for the opportunity to meet Dr. Genevieve in person. The door to the private room swung open.

Dylan and Gina stepped into view, Seeing Gina, Shawn’s suspicions stirred. “Well, Miss Miller, what brings you here? Have you agreed and accepted my terms?” he asked.

“No, I’m here to expose the deception,” Gina retorted.

“Deception? What do you mean?” Shawn was puzzled.

As Gina entered the room, followed by Dylan closing the door behind them, she addressed the specialists, “I’ve heard Mr. Thomas falsely claiming to represent me, Dr. Genevieve, to invite you to join his medical research project. I’m here to clarify that I never authorized Mr. Thomas.”

Shawn, bewildered, confronted Gina. “When you saved Dylan, you said you were Dr. Genevieve’s apprentice. Now, you claim to be Dr. Genevieve herself. Why should I believe you?”

“If you don’t believe, neither do I because that’s the truth,” Gina retorted, shooting Shawn a glance.
