Chapter 42
When She Stops Playing Nice
Chapter 42
Peter still remembered how shameless Olivia was when she paid to slander Gina.
She has two faces.
Noah said angrily, âGina, itâs not the first time you have been so violent. We saw you beat up Liam and Mom. You even threatened us. Peter must be coerced by you.
James, feeling his sense of justice overflowing, said, âMr. Lennon, we can help you report to the police.
Peter listened and sweated. He thought, It seems Miss Miller is not easy to trille with.â
He glanced again at James, whose legs were in casts, and thought that James was beaten like this by Gina. Peter was secretly glad he hadnât been beaten by Gina, or heâd be in hospital too.
He cleared his throat and said, âGuys, listen, Miss Miller didnât beat me.
Peter didnât know how to make them believe him. Even with his testimony, no one in the Miller family believed Gina.
He even suspected that Olivia, instead of Gina, was the one from the Miller family, daughter. He had seen someone so biased toward outsiders.
The Miller family was too absurd.
Peter took out his trump card and said, âI have a recording of the conversation when Olivia made the deal with me. Listen for yourselves.â
Peter pressed play.
Oliviaâs sharp voice came through. âJust say sheâs a jinx, that sheâll bring misfortune to the Miller family. Exaggerate the scary sideâ¦â
âWhy did Peter keep this?â Olivia thought in shock.
Olivia didnât know whether it was because Peter often did shady things or because he knew too many rich peopleâs secrets, he was somewhat worried about being silenced. That was why he kept the recording as leverage for self-protection, even resorting to a scorched earth policy if necessary.
Ella, listening to the recording, was shocked. It was hard for her to accept that Olivia, who usually spoke softly and gently, could say such mean words.
She looked at Olivia in disbelief.
The two men who had just defended Olivia were now speechless too.
Olivia, seeing Ellaâs disappointed look, felt scared.
She cried and stuttered, âMom, I was out of my mind. Iâm so scared that you wonât care about me when Gina is back. After all, sheâs your daughter. I regretted doing this. But after so many bad things happened in the family, I thought that maybe Gina was a jinx, so I didnât explain this to you.â
Although she had bribed Peter to slander Gina, all the bad things that happened in the family were real.

BORI
Perhaps Gina was really a jinx.
Olivia thought, âEven if she isnât, she secretly bullied me, seduced Ethan, and forged a will. The bad things she has done are far worse than what I did.
Ella was disappointed in Olivia not because she knew Olivia had wronged Gina, but because she found it hard to accept that Olivia, seemingly gentle and obedient, could lie and distort the fact, making her an accomplice in doing evil.
Gina chuckled.
Olivia not only showed no remorse but also continued to shift the blame onto her.
She was truly despicable.
But Gina didnât rush to nail Olivia
After returning to the Miller family, Gina would investigate and settle the strange things that had occurred.
At that moment, Ginaâs phone vibrated. She received a new email sent anonymously. She only used her email to communicate with trusted individuals. Who could have sent her this email?
Gina opened the email with suspicion. Inside was Oliviaâs medical examination report, and Gina immediately noticed the blood type section.
Oliviaâs blood type was A.
Ginaâs expression darkened.
Oliviaâs voice sounded in her ears. âIâm sorry, Gina. Itâs my fault. You can scold or hit me as you like, as long as you forgive

âHow about this? I kneel to you.â Olivia looked resolute, ready to kneel before Gina.
Noah quickly grabbed Olivia, even turning to accuse Gina. âDonât kneel. Gina, donât be too pushy.â
Olivia pushed away Noahâs hand and said, âBrother, let me kneel, I should be responsible for what I did.â
The two of them displayed deep sibling affection.
âShut up.â Ginaâs cold voice cut through.
There was an invisible pressure in her tone, and the two of them instinctively fell silent.
âYou donât need to apologize hastily, I have something else to say,â Gina said calmly.
Olivia swallowed nervously, breaking out in a cold sweat.
âOn the day of the house getting on fire, you hurried back home because you worried about me and got into a car accident. It was actually a scene you orchestrated. You didnât actually have a car accident, let alone go into shock, and your blood type
isnât HR.â
Olivia felt like she had been struck by lightning. âHow did Gina know all this?â she wondered,
She remembered having someone destroy the surveillance footage of the accident scene a long time ago. âYou have not evidence,â Olivia said.

Gina laughed and said, Iâve been waiting for you to say that?
She took out the surveillance footage of the accident scene and sent them all a copy of Oliviaâs medical examination report.
After sending it. Gina blacklisted the Miller familyâs contacts again.
Ella looked at the conspicuous type A blood on the medical examination report, feeling u
and s t a g e r e d a bit. Noah hurried forward to support Ella.
She almost blacked out
Ella calmed herself down. With ironclad evidence, she was somewhat angry as she questioned Olivia, âHow many more lies did you tell? You know how worried I was for you when you had a car accident? I was terrified, and you were lying to me?â
Olivia was in tears, saying, âMom, Iâm sorry. I didnât mean to,
She raised her hand and slapped herself hard, shouting. Iâm mean!â
Seeing Oliviaâs face quickly swell up from the slap, Ella couldnât bear it anymore. She grabbed Oliviaâs hand and said, âEnough. Stop.â
Olivia stopped, looking pitifully at Gina, as if she were the victim. âGina, what do you want me to do to make it up to you? Do you want me to leave the Miller family and give everything back to you? I can do that.â
