My Bestfriend Slipped Inside Me (An Alpha’s Secret)
48 Averyâs pov âHey you forgot something!â Xaden shouted from the kitchen, his head just popping up from the opened fridge.
My rushing feet slowed until I stopped behind the kitchen island, leaning my hand on the surface to hold myself from tripping over because of my abrupt halt. âWhat?â My brows furrowed as he went back to digging in the fridge.
pulls out the uncut pineapple and wiggled it with a mischievous smile. âThis. Thereâs an extra in the fridge if you want it-
He ducked as Xade came behind me and flung one of the kitchen utensils at his face. It crashes in between the milk and cheese. âStop teasing my girl man. And donât you have something to do? Like leave?â
Xadeâs hand comes around my middle and his chin drops on my shoulder gently. He squeezed my waist and like a magnet, I leaned into him until we are glued together. He sighs on top of my head, planting a kiss.
Xaden straightens, lifting both his hands up in surrender, one hand still hold the pineapple. âI will. When you two give me peace to sleep at night,â he rolled his eyes playfully as he push the pineapple back into the fridge.
âI know you two are like in your honeymoon phase right now, but do you mind giving this old guy some peace and stop humping like bunnies for hours? I barely caught a wink of sleep last night and the night before that,â he turn to send a wink my way. âYou got a good set of lungs on you V.â
III J 1006 I flushed furiously, my cheeks extremely hot I peeled out of Xadeâs arms, needing to escape this embarrassing situation. âIâm late, we should head out âI told Xade over my shoulder whoâs grasping for my hips to return to him.
He nods I have class in a couple of minutes and I kind of slept.
in perhaps sleeping beside Xade was a bad idea seeing as we do more of tangling the sheets than sleeping when necessary.
âIâll see you later Xaden!â I said over my shoulder as my fingers wrap around the handle to pry the door open.
âMight not little V.â he hollered, rummaging through a set of pans I turn to face him confused âToday Iâm heading back âHis forehead smacked against the cupboard and he hisses out the word f*ck âSo soon?â
He nods, rubbing the area he had hurt âYeah got some work to do and my little brother needs his space so he can keep humping you every chance he gets Iâm getting too old to hear those sounds at night Vâ Ile. snorted as he joked Xade shoots him a hard glare while I frowned Iâll miss him I never get to see him much since weâre now so far from each other But heâs always been our big brother and protector Ignoring his joke I rush over to him to surprise him with a hug âI guess Iâll see you âWhen youâll need me.â he said softly as he wrap his arms around me to give me a warm protective hug âIn the meantime get a degree and try to not die from exhaustion from being pounded every single minuteâ
choked on a surprised embarrassed sound now regretting I hugged him in the first place I should have known heâd turn this serious moment into a joking one. I move out of his arms and smacked him.
âJesus girl.â he hissed, rubbing his chest arca. âMy brother must have shared his abilities with you-
âLetâs head out baby, donât want to be late.â Xade cuts in, sending Xaden a sharp death stare. I nodded, telling Xaden good bye and flushing when he promised me heâll leave the pineapple in the fridge. for me whenever Iâll need it.
As Xade and I head on out, half way down the corridor he suddenly makes me squeak in surprise when he lifts me up and holds me in his arms. I quickly wrap my legs and arms around him like a monkey on a branch.
âXade!â I scowled even though I made no effort to get down from his arms. His hand come under my butt and squeeze. âI car k.â
He nods. âI know, but I wonât see you in a few hours and I need to imprint you in my mind some more.â He kissed my temple and I am too gushy in his arms to protest once more and demand him to put me down.
So even though we passed a few onlookers, I didnât care as I let him carry me to his vehicle like a child. When he dropped me off on the campus, he was reluctant to remove his lips from mine.
I giggled, detaching my lips from his and wiped off some of the gloss I had manage to smear on his lips. âIâll see you later.â
Xade had classes later on so it was unlikely that we cross paths again until we both were home. Home. Being with him always felt like home. He was my home.
My heart melted when I saw his pout and his sad gaze. âI donât like it when I part from you.â He breathed with a bit of frustration in his tone.
O I smiled âSince when have you become so clingy?â I joked, unable to melt by just the look of pure fondness he gave me âIâve always been when it comes to you,â he pointed out truthfully, leaning forward and kissed the tip of my nose. âI just never knew it was possible to become even more.â lis admission made me laugh.
He didnât lie, he was always clingy, but so was 1. We never wanted to part from each other, always glued to the hip unless for classes and well. his dates and mine with Kyan.
âText me when you get to your class safely, okay?â He whispered, giving me another kiss on my nose and then eyelids which cause me to swat at his face and giggle It was not odd of him to tell me to text him when I get to class since. weâve always done this. But this time, it feels different that I know he was my boyfriend. I grinned, my heart fluttering when he blew kiss and honked before driving off slowly.
As I watch his vehicle disappear. I canât help but feel a little nervous to walk into the campus alone. This time I had no one, not Melissa and not Kyan to keep me company when Xade wasnât here. It also didnât help that I was the talk of the campus.
With a sigh, I clutched my book bag and began walking to the entrance. But halfway my phone pings and thinking it was Xade being impatient to know if I had gotten to class on time or not, I pulled it out of my pocket.
The text that glint evilly on the screen made my stomach churn and I swallowed.
Kyan: You forgot your chain in my room the last time you got here. Come pick it up in ten minutes or itâs going in the trash.
My dadâs chain. The last thing I had of him before he died. The chain.
meant too much to me and mom for me to let it be thrown in the trash. Nervously my shaky fingers texted Kyan back, telling him that I will come to pick it up. The last time I saw Kyan, he was in the hospital bed, nervous to see him now was an understatement.
