53 Xade’s pov My fingers wrap around the steering wheel hard, the skin tight over my knuckles as they turn bone white from my harsh grip.

I have always hated parting with her, but it has since become worse. As I look at her disappearing figure as I drive off, I contemplate if to go back and swoop her in my arms once more and kiss her.

But I knew if I did that, there was no way I’d be able to leave again. So with a tight jaw, I drove away. Her scent fills the car, fills fills my being and it is enough to case the beast inside me that wants to go to her.

noticed I slowed down beside a popular five star restaurant eyeing for some time now. I’ve asked her a couple times to dine nere with me but she refused seeing as it’s really expensive. Hopefully she’ll agree now that we’re officially dating.

I’d like to spend all my money on her every single dime. She was worth so much to me. I have the intention to be the best boyfriend my girl has ever had even if it may be for a short time. So planning our first date down to the last detail was the best thing to do. It had to be perfect, as perfect as her.

I strode in the restaurant, walking over to the manager’s office since I had already set an appointment to speak to him to go over the details for tonight.

I rented out the entire restaurant for what I had planned, so it should only be the two of us. My body buzz with excitement just thinking. about the way her pretty eyes will glow with the decor that is suppose to brighten up the area.

A few minutes going over every detail, Xander pushes into my head. ‘ that red jacket, can I have it?”

I rolled my eyes inwardly, leaning my finger on my temple as I try to listen to both my brother and the manager. ‘No. Don’t take my s*it.’

‘Come on man, you know red suits me better than you. And you barely wear the d*mn thing! It needs to be seen on a hot body. AKA mine.’

My jaw sets. ‘Don’t you have to hurry up home before dad gets there?’

Dad mind linked Xander earlier in the morning to run an errand for him in the pack since he was out of town. Xander not wanting dad to know he was here with me agreed, so he has to leave soon to get there before dad finds out he lied and also find out about what happened here between Kyan and me.

I held up my finger to the manager when a name flashes on my phone. It’s Kyan. He should be out of the hospital by now, and seeking revenge.

I bet he’s calling to tell me off. Even though I paid his hospital bills and Xander gave him extra cash to keep shut about what happened, I didn’t think he’d just let this go easily.

I frowned, indecisive if to answer him or not.

‘So can I take the red jacket or not? Xander whined in my head, reminding me that he was still there.

‘Shut up Xander.’ I snapped. ‘That Kyan a*shole is calling-

‘At this rate you’ll run my pockets dry kid,’ Xander cursed. ‘Answer the d*mn phone and I’ll take care of whatever he wants.’

With a groan and hiss, I swipe my thumb over the answer button before it ended. Holding my finger up for the impatient manager, I lift the phone to my ear, growling out “What!”
