FORTY-THREE
HIS INNOCENT BRIDE
FARZANâS POV:
She f**king lied to me.
I was fuming with anger and if anyone else saw me like this he would definitely be shocked that the person who was the cause of it was still alive at that time as she must be busy cooking in the kitchen without caring what chaos she had been implicating on my life since her mere presence in it.
I was on verge of killing someone and I still didnât know what to do. That was it. She made me helpless in her case. I could kill her easily if she wasnâtâ¦her.
âS-Sir.â After a knock to which I didnât answer my secretary came in as she had her hands trembling but she tried to hide it with her tight grip on the files. She was an almost fifty years old woman as she was working with for more than a decade. She knew when I was in a mood to talk or not and right now, I was definitely not but still she came in and try to worsen my mood.
âSir.â She tried to act professional with the clearing of her throat.
I bestowed her with a glance which was enough to take the hint and spill the f**king words already.
âThereâs someone who wants to meet you.â She said calculatedly as I glanced at her with narrowed eyes.
âThere werenât any appointments.â I said as it was almost evening as the sky was showing all the shades of yellow at that time.
âYes, but he is CEO of Ensoft company.â She said and I straightened up a little. The company I was competing with in the real estate belonged to the same brothers I guess and if he was here then I should say that it must be something interesting because I was already amused with his presence.
âSend him in.â I said as after few seconds a tall smart man with chocolate colord hair and eyes came in wearing a brown hoodie and jeans. He was the most casual person I had ever seen in my office. But the thing that passed an amusing smile on my lips was the shine in his eyes. His eyes talk as well as his bright smile with which he greeted me.
âI never took appointments but I think I should while coming to meet the Knights. I donât like to wait. Ahmad Hashmi.â He said as I also came forward to shook hands with him. His grip was firm and tight as if assuring me something with something burning in his eyes.
âI wouldnât say hard things take time to come but I would definitely say that the Knights always wait for the right moment for the sake of punctuality and thatâs why I am the Knight. You have ten minutes.â I said as I gestured him towards the couch on in front of my office table where I could see the city from the top of floor of our building. In night the light of the moon and the lights of the nearby building were enough to lighten my room which is filled with darkness.
âI am honored.â He chuckled as he sat on front of me while I held the intercom but stopped.
âYou would take black coffee right. It looked like you just came after sleeping.â I said as no matter how much he inspired me for not being a trembling ass I still didnât like someone meeting casually and that too in casual clothes.
âAh man!â He chuckled as his smile died down the next moment. âYou can say that. I donât like to plan things as I just go with the flow.â He said and I just dropped the intercom as I diverted my whole attention towards him.
âGet to point.â I said as he was looking at me with scrutinized gaze. He wasnât getting intimidated by me as normal do.
âThe point is I want my software company to get engaged with you. I want you to have our own department as part of your development program.â He said as I just raised an eyebrow at his empty hands. Usually, these types of things were done with paper and pen and he was just talking to me casually.
âAnd why do I have to do that?â I said with an amusing smile on my face.
âBecause you are marrying the daughter of the man who is my rival in the IT world. If he collaborated with you then I would be the one collaborated with your rival who is my brother in the real estate agency.â He said shrugging his shoulders as if it wasnât a big deal.
âThatâs your problem. I am not thinking of doing any favor to you.â I simply said as now he wasnât making any sense to me. I was about to get up buttoning my coat when he spoke again.
âBut you would think of your favor.â He was smiling brightly but his eyes were telling a different a story. His face screamed innocence but his eyes were erupting fire as the intensity was it.
âIf you would give a department to my company then you will be strong on both sides. From my brother and your soon to be father-in-law as he would eventually ask you to name everything to your wifeâ¦sorry second wife and then he would try to control you because all of your IT department would be under him.â He elaborated as he further added. âSorry I forgot. Congratulations for your marriage. First one. I hope you would invite me on the second one.â He said with a click of his tongue as he really had the nerves to say and I believed that since I hadnât given any statement to the press about the rumors of my marriage so they would think that it wasnât true as majority people did.
Even Areejâs father heard about all of this and he was so scared that it would turn out that he wouldnât even ask me and directly ask me to marry Areej. He wanted to make sure I would never go separate ways with him by locking his daughter with me but how dumb he was that he thought he could control me with that. I was Farzan Shah. CEO of the company and one of the strongest mafias of the world.
âYou think people can control me?â I said as I stood up and so did, he. The ten minutes were already over and he knew that.
âYes, because you are getting a weakness.â He said and the blood in veins rushed at a faster speed as I looked at him in the eyes. Was he talking to about Aysham? Because if he then I could kill him with my own hands before he could lay his eyes on him.
âWoah! Relax man.â He raising his hands up in a surrendering manner as he saw me with clenched jaw and eyes glaring at him. âI am not threatening you. I am just telling you about the future scenarios.â He further added as his eyes were dripping amusement.
âYour time is over and you failed to convince.â I said and turned around as making me such a huge deal needed a lot of time and facts and he was just trying to threaten me with her. F**K! Why would people think that she was my weakness? I barely accompany her in the public. I didnât talk about her with him as I could threaten him with a generous amount of blood which would be his but I didnât want to show how much his words irked me.
But the next I knew I would do was to double her security and she needed a personal body guard too which would be most probably me. F**K! She has to be safe for me all the time but to be safe I could cage her in the mansion. She would go out and enjoy life like any other person but the guards should be with her all the time. There wouldnât be any excuse for that.
âNever mind. Just wanted to give it a shot.â He clicked his tongue as if my rejection didnât bother him much. I sat on my chair not bothering to shake hands with him again as now mood was sour enough because of him.
âWe are the Knights. You should be glad that this shot didnât make you lose your limbs.â I growled in a low whisper and he chuckled. Really!
âI am. Indeed.â With a small smile and burning gaze he left the room and I didnât know what it was his causality but I sensed something to which I could not give name of. But I was sure of the feeling that it wasnât the last time we were meeting. A huge success in business needed a sharp mind, hard work and a strong sixth sense and based on the third one I knew there was something bad coming towards my way but I was relaxed and casual like always because I was prepared for that.
âSir.â Again, my secretary came in adjusting her glasses as this time she had the same expressions as before but a little more scared.
âThereâs someone else to meet you sir.â She said and I just wanted to shoot her right there. Another person and that too without any appointment.
âShe is saying she is from the Knight Mansion.â Before I could ask her politely to get the hell out of my office she explained further. I just shook my head as there were plenty of maids working in my mansion and many used to come if they had some kind of issues like Suziâs mother came to request me to rescue her daughter from her own husband and I did that. My workers had the privilege to ask for any type help because they work for you and that to depending on our moods.
I shook my head asking to let her in but the moment the door opened and I got hit with the most familiar soothing fragrance I knew who it was.
