When Jessica and Terry walked out of the steakhouse to the parking lot, they happened to run into

some students sending out questionnaires. Jessica and Terry were stopped. “Mister, Miss, can you

please fill out some questionnaires for us?”

“Sure.”

Jessica was in a good mood today, so she agreed. That was not something she would normally take

a fancy to.

She took over the pen and filled it out.

Seeing that, Terry did the same.

More than ten seconds later, Jessica and Terry were both done. They were about to leave when a girl

took out a bag and asked, “Thank you guys for your help. Here are some little gifts.”

Jessica did not take them over. “Thanks, but no thanks.”

The girl seemed to be a little disappointed. On the side, Terry suddenly chimed in, “You got us

wrong. This beautiful lady here is not my girlfriend. Any other choices we have?”

you."

“My pleasure. You helped us first.”

As she spoke, the girl handed her bag to Terry again.

Terry glanced at the keychain in Jessica's hands and also chose a keychain. “Thank you.”

Terry looked down at the keychain in his hand and said, “I'm a little stuffed. Shall we take a walk?”

“I haven't seen you in a while. What are you doing these days?” Jessica asked.

“I went to see a friend,” Terry said vaguely.

Jessica frowned slightly. “A friend?"

Terry smiled at her as if explaining, “A male friend. He just returned to LA recently. He has been

studying abroad.”

“I didn’t expect you to have a student friend.” Jessica smiled.

leave LA." Terry said, looking forward. Jessica didn't know what he was thinking about.

Terry suddenly spoke up. Jessica paused a bit before she turned to him and smiled. “Are you always

this helpful?”

“Would you believe me if I said I was cold-hearted to others?”

Jessica raised her eyebrows. “I don't believe it.”

Terry smiled as if he did not mind. “Oh, you will believe it in the future.”

Jessica smiled faintly. “It seems that you are not a good person.”

Hearing that, Terry laughed. “Jessica, I never said I was a good person.”

Terry was silent for a moment before adding, “But you don't have to worry. I will never hurt you.”

The word “never” didn't seem real to Jessica. She didn't respond to that. Instead, Jessica changed

the topic and said, “I'd like to head back early today. Let's go.”

"Okay."

Terry glanced at her and brought her back the way they had come.
