Chapter 150
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
âIs your ankle still bothering you?â
Lindseyâs ears blushed as she quickly withdrew her foot from Domenicâs grasp and tucked it under the blanket.
She shook her head, replying, âThe ointment from last night worked wonders.
Itâs been just one night, and I donât feel any pain at all.
â
Domenicâs face lit up with a knowing smile.
His gaze then drifted to her phone on the coffee table and asked casually, âWhat are you looking at?â
Lindsey let out a soft sigh.
âIâm watching an interview with the former top actress Selah Potter Domenic squinted slightly.
âWhy the sudden interest in this? Is it related to your job?â
âYes, for work.
Iâm hoping to bring her back into the limelight and sign her with Vitality Entertainment again.
Itâs just unfortunate she vanished from the public eye after her marriage.
No one has heard from her since.
â Lindsey then lay back on the sofa, her expression tinged with depression.
Domenic casually rolled up his shirt sleeves and suggested, âPerhaps my boss might have some information on her.
â
Lindsey quickly sat upright, her hands clasping Domenicâs arm, her eyes lighting up with anticipation.
âDoes your boss know Selah?â
Domenic gave her a knowing smile and said, âHe is well-connected.
He might have some insights.
Howeverâ¦â Domenicâs eyebrows arched.
âWhy should I help you? Werenât you the one who said we should Live our own lives and never interfere with each other again?â
Lindsey was rendered speechless.
How could he be so petty?
But she was adaptable.
To secure information about Selah, she was prepared to give in, at least for now.
âWell⦠I was just upset when I said that.
â Lindseyâs eyes narrowed playfully as she gently swayed Domenicâs arm.
âWeâre friends, arenât we? Please, do me this favor.
â
Whenever Lindsey turned on her charm, she was a picture of innocence and allure, her soft and sweet demeanor nearly impossible to resist.
Domenic adjusted his collar and swallowed, finding it hard to look away from the endearing woman before him, yet he managed to restrain his desires.
âAlright, Iâll try to help you out.
But donât forget to show your gratitude when I make it.
â
âOkay, deal.
When itâs all sorted, you can decide how you want to be thanked,â Lindsey declared confidently, patting her chest.
Domenic raised an eyebrow and chuckled, pulling out his phone.
Lindsey watched as Domenic swiftly typed a message and soon received a response.
After a quick read, he pocketed his phone.
He looked at Lindsey and said, âSelah has indeed gone off the radar.
Her husband, Andrew Lee, owns an international trading firm.
Heâs quite wealthy and a big fan of horse riding.
He invested in an equestrian club and used to go there to watch horse races.
The club was called Glory International Equestrian Club.
That might be your lead to finding Selah.
â
âThank you so much, Mr.
Walsh.
Iâll check out that tomorrow.
â
In her excitement, Lindsey leaped up from the sofa, inadvertently sending her blanket tumbling to the floor, revealing her s@xy nightgown and elegant figure.
Caught off guard, Lindsey blushed, hastily retreated to her room, an
d shut the door with a slam.
Domenic raised his eyebrows, a soft chuckle escaping him.
