Chapter 295
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
A sudden headache hit Domenic, and he massaged his temples.
âAre you alright? Have you been working too hard?â Lindsey sat straight, her face etched with concern.
Domenic had been run down from overwork.
Other than last night, when heâd slept soundly with Lindsey in his arms, heâd been swamped, barely managing three to four hours of sleep each night.
He pulled Lindsey close, a playful smirk on his face, and murmured, âWorried about me? Maybe I should hold you a little longer tonight.
â
Lindseyâs cheeks turned pink as she gently pushed him back, her bright eyes squinting with mischief.
âDo you realize⦠how you look right now?â
Domenic lifted an eyebrow in question.
Closing in, Lindsey spelled it out, âLike a needy puppy!â
Before she knew it, Domenicâs hand was on the back of her head.
He leaned in close, his gaze intense.
âShould I seal your lips now?â
Lindsey immediately frowned and shook her head, understanding his implication.
âWeâre on the bus, not at our place.
Please, behave!â With a pout, Lindsey voiced her complaint.
âFine, Iâll wait until weâre home then.
Domenic let out a soft laugh and tenderly squeezed Lindseyâs cheek.
Resting in his embrace, Lindsey gazed up at the charming man before her.
She couldnât help but notice that Domenic was getting more playful by the day.
Yet, she also saw that his smile was broader lately, which she took as a positive change.
Once the bus reached the station, Domenic didnât let go of Lindseyâs hand until they were home.
No sooner had they shut the door than Domenic Lifted Lindsey, setting her on the shoe cabinet in the entryway, and moved in to ki*s her.
Feeling his warmth, Lindsey blinked up at him, her eyes sparkling.
âDo you actually have a thing for this? Why do you always stop here at the entryway?â
âYou donât Like it?â Domenic peered into her captivating eyes.
âThen where would you prefer? Iâm good with anywhere.
â
Caught off guard, Lindseyâs cheeks blushed noticeably.
His words hinted at something she wasnât expectingâ¦
âLetâs just⦠head to the living room,â she managed to say, her words tumbling out awkwardly.
Domenicâs lips curled slightly as he lifted her from the cabinet, carrying her straight to the living room.
He set her down on the plush sofa, his tall figure leaning over her, stealing her breath with the weight of his presence.
His ki*s was fierce and urgent today, as if he was consumed by a hunger only she could satisfy.
Lindsey, caught in the storm of his passion, had no choice but to yield.
With one hand, she clutched at his collar, and with the other, she pushed against his firm chest.
