Chapter 296
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
âMr.
Walsh!â she exclaimed, finding a moment to push him back and catch her breath.
âPlease⦠not so rough.
I might not be able to handle it.
â
Domenicâs chest rose and fell with rapid breaths from the intensity of their ki*s.
He gazed down at Lindsey, taking in her cuteness and intelligence, a sight that always seemed to draw others to her.
A desire to keep her hidden away, just for himself, surged within him.
âYou canât handle it?â Domenic asked with a smile, his deep eyes fixed on her flushed face.
He adored the way she would quickly turn rosy, her shyness and tenderness revealing the girlish charm that he found so irresistible.
Lindsey bit her lip, hesitating.
âItâs just⦠my period hasnât finished yet.
â
Domenicâs brow arched in a mix of confusion and curiosity.
âAnd that means?â
âUm⦠Wellâ¦â She fidgeted, her cheeks warming even more, yet she kept her gaze locked with his.
âItâs just that⦠it might be a bit uncomfortable if things get too intense.
â
Domenic sat up, his hands gently pressing on her shoulders as he looked her over with concern.
âAre you okay? Does it hurt anywhere?â
Her embarrassment grew under his worried gaze.
She dropped her head, playing with her fingers.
âNo, thatâs not what I was trying to say.
â
Domenic furrowed his brow, but soon he grasped the situation.
He enveloped Lindsey in his arms and murmured in her ear, âAre you thinking what Iâm thinking right now?â
He playfully inquired, âHmm?â This caused Lindsey to feel as though her heart had melted.
She lacked the strength to resist him.
In frustration, Lindsey placed her hands on Domenicâs chest and pushed him away.
She pouted and complained, âI used to think you were decent.
Why are you turning so mischievous now?â
Squinting his eyes, Domenic gazed at the irked girl before him and chuckled.
âDo you prefer me to be serious like in the past or mischievous like now?â
Lindsey realized she had set a trap for herself!
Before she could answer, Domenic leaned in closer, his face inches from hers, locking onto her crystal-clear eyes.
His breath wafted over her, his laughter carrying a touch of audacity.
âOr maybe youâ¦
You love both sides of me?â
âDomenic!â
Lindsey couldnât argue with him on this matter.
She kicked him and shot him a glare, her face blushing.
Gently grasping her wrist, Domenic decisively cradled her in his embrace.
He buried his head in her sweet-smelling locks and tenderly comforted her in a soothing tone, saying, âAlright, Iâll stop teasing you.
Let me hold you like this for a little while.
â
Then he rested his head against her neck and rubbed a little.
