Chapter 312
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
Turns out sheâs had some work done.
â
âI have no idea how she looked before.
â
âLindseyâs features seem so natural in comparison⦠She is much more beautiful than Shelia.
â
Shelia nearly lost her temper, pointed a finger at Elaine, and scolded, âYou little troublemaker, what on earth are you saying? I havenât had any plastic surgery.
â
Lindsey quickly shielded Elaine behind her and fixed Shelia with a stern gaze.
âShelia, remember youâre in the public eye.
Do you want to start a fight with a child?â
Shelia, hearing this, had no choice but to rein in her fury.
âs BunnyBookery
Shelia held the role of the guest of honor at the ribbon-cutting event.
Going too far and upsetting the financial backer wouldnât be worth it.
Besides, Shelia had already succeeded in tarnishing Lindseyâs image.
She had noticed someone taking photos of Lindsey, Domenic, and the child.
She was sure those images were already circulating online.
With this in mind, Shelia composed herself and offered Lindsey a forced smile.
âI wouldnât stoop to
arguing with an ill-bred child.
â
With that, Shelia turned to leave.
But suddenly, Elaine darted from behind Lindsey, grabbed Sheliaâs arm, and bit down hard.
Shelia screamed and managed to shake Elaine off.
Teeth marks materialized on Sheliaâs arm instantly.
âHow dare you bite me? Iâll call the police and arrest all of you.
â
Shelia let out a frustrated cry, then promptly grabbed her phone to dial the police.
Witnessing Elaine being shoved to the ground, Lindsey hurried over and cradled her in her arms.
Tears streamed down Elaineâs face.
âIâm not an ill-bred child.
You canât say that about me.
â
Lindsey then handed Elaine to Domenic and confronted Shelia, snatching her phone away.
âWhat the hell are you doing? Give me my phone back!â Shelia demanded, glaring at Lindsey.
Lindsey faced Shelia and proposed, âHow about we resolve this without involving others?â
Shelia let out a derisive snort.
âYouâre suggesting we handle this privately? Unless⦠you beg me.
â
Lindsey turned her gaze back to Elaine, who was still crying.
It appeared that she was scared, and she had buried her head in Domenicâs chest for comfort.
Lindsey couldnât let Elaine get hurt any further.
Noticing Lindseyâs hesitation, Shelia spoke sharply.
âYour kid bit me.
