Chapter 353
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
Through the howling wind on the other end, Selah sounded strained.
âLindsey, Iâve run into a bit of trouble here.
But donât worry, Iâm on my way.
â
âWhatâs happened?â Lindsey felt a nervous twitch in her right eyelid.
âI was crossing the Bay Bridge when there was a car accident.
â
As soon as Lindseyâs car crossed the bridge, sheâd be at the theater.
But in the middle of the bridge, things went sideways.
Out of nowhere, another car charged from the opposite direction and slammed into Selahâs ride.
The driver tried to swerve, but it was no use.
A fast-moving sedan smacked them, sending their car skidding towards the bridgeâs railings, almost flying off.
Fortunately, a black sports car swooped in and brushed against the teetering car, preventing a near disaster.
Selahâs car ended up overturned, teetering on the brink, barely a meter from a deadly plunge.
The crash sent the bridge into an uproar and traffic into a standstill.

âWhat? A car accident? Selah, are you okay?â Lindsey blurted out, shocked.
âYeah, Iâm alright, Lindsey.
Just hang tight.
Iâll get there as soon as I can,â Selah replied before hanging up.
She couldnât help but stare at Arturo.
Had Arturo not shown up in his car just in time to block the car Selah was in, it would have collided with the bridge railings and been reduced to ruins.
The bridge was a no-go for driving now.
Arturo had called for a motorcycle to come through.
He was going to take Selah off to the theater on a motorcycle.
Sitting on the bridgeâs edge, Selah was overwhelmed.
She owed Arturo her thanks, yet she found herself at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, the theaterâs audition live stream kicked off at ten in the morning, with millions of viewers jumping in, causing a network crash.
Lindsey eyed the theaterâs entrance, anxiety bubbling inside her.
Despite this, she kept a cool exterior.
Just then, Vincent approached and gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
âLindsey, whereâs Selah? Why isnât she here?â Vincentâs tone held a note of worry.
âShe ran into a bit of an accident on her way over.
Sheâll be here shortly,â Lindsey reassured him.
âAn accident?â Vincentâs brow creased, sensing the gravity of the situation in Lindseyâs serious tone.
With a worried bite of her lip, Lindsey gave Vincent a nod and offered an apologetic look.
âIâm sorry.
I didnât see this coming.
â
âOn a day like today, with such an unexpected occurrence, itâs hard to believe, isnât it?â Vincent said, his words tinged with underlying meaning.
He then turned and strode towards the stage.
Lindsey, struck by a thought, grew anxious.
She quickly pulled out her phone and called Nancy.
âNancy, I need you to dig up whatever you can on the car crash at Bay Bridge this morning⦠Iâll wait for your update.
