Chapter 389
Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right
Domenicâs gaze suddenly grew intense.
He put the meeting on hold, snatched up his phone, and stepped outside to call Lindsey.
She picked up quickly but her voice was icy.
âWhatâs the matter?â
âLinds, have you resigned? Whatâs going on? Why didnât you let me know?â
Lindseyâs response was cold.
âI believe we are still not on speaking terms, right? I donât see a need to update you on my moves.
â
âWhatâs the issue? Didnât you always want to be at Vitality Entertainment? Whyâd you leave all of a sudden?â Domenic wasnât in the mood for a spat.
He was just trying to understand the sudden change.
Something mustâve triggered her abrupt resignation.
As the head of Vitality Group and the major shareholder of Vitality Entertainment, Domenic knew he could fix whatever was wrong.
Lindsey calmly revealed, âVitality Entertainmentâs riddled with corruption.
The director and a top executive are colluding, accepting bribes.
Iâm fed up, so Iâm out.
â
Normally, Emilio oversaw the Vitality Entertainment, and Domenic, swamped with other business, barely glanced that way.
But with Lindsey there, he had recently started to take notice.
When Domenic heard what Li
ndsey said, he scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.
Corruption? Colluding? Bribery? These were serious problems at Vitality Entertainment that he was unaware of.

âIâll take care of it myself.
Unless thereâs something else, Iâm going to hang up.
â
With that, Lindsey ended the call.
Clutching his phone, Domenic walked over to the large window and quickly called Emilio.
Emilio had just returned from overseas.
His phone rang just as he switched it from airplane mode.
It was Domenic calling.
A chill ran through Emilio.
Domenicâs calls often meant trouble.
Sure enough, Domenicâs voice was angry when he picked up.
âIf you canât cut it as the general manager of Vitality Entertainment, consider yourself fired!â
What?
Emilioâs forehead beaded with sweat.
He had no clue what was going on, and Domenic wasnât one to give orders like that unless things were really bad.
âWhatâs going on, Domenic?â
âYou have one day to sort out your companyâs director Jayleen and her backer.
Fail, and Iâm sending you abroad, where youâll stay for good!â
Emilio was left in the cold, the phone call abruptly cut off before he could ask anything more.
He immediately called his assistant.
âWhatâs Jayleen been up to while I was gone? Whatâs going on with the company?â
