“I’m good now, I’ll wear this outfit to the family mansion.” Christy Xenos finished dressing, looked in the mirror, and seemed very satisfied with herself.

“They might even laugh at us behind our backs for giving such poor gifts.” Christy continued with a pout, “The Zhekova Family will never be satisfied with us no matter what we do. So why bother giving them anything at all?”

“Moreover, in the eyes of the Zhekova Family, we are just poor relatives. Since that’s the case, we don’t need to be so particular.” Christy felt this was an apt reasoning.

“And besides, this time we’re going to the Zhekova Family to seek justice. They not only don’t value Cindy, but they don’t even acknowledge us as their in-laws. Furthermore, they failed to comply with even the most basic etiquette when marrying Cindy.” Christy spoke as if she had all the answers.

“Wendy, don’t you think so?” Christy asked.

Wendy frowned and said, “We still need to bring something. How would it look if we showed up empty-handed? They already look down on us; if we go empty-handed, we’ll only be furthering their disdain.”

“During our visit, even if we can’t come to an agreement with the Zhekova Family regarding Cindy’s matter, we must let them know that our family isn’t some insignificant household like they think.” Wendy insisted.

Joshua, sitting in the back seat, nodded in agreement: “Right, that way it’s also better for Cindy. Otherwise, if the Zhekova Family thinks we’re being rude, they’ll look down on Cindy as well, and we’ll only be doing her a disservice.”
