Chapter 791: 791: No Need to Hesitate
Daddy! Come Home for Dinner!
âYou donât need to worry about my second uncleâs thoughts,â Adrian Zhekova said. âHis thoughts cannot influence anything.â
âIn public, although he has some authority in the Zhekova familyâs business, he is not in the main family line, so he wonât be arranged to be in the most core industries.â
âThe Zhekova family has many businesses. Just the main family line alone cannot control them all. But the real core and important positions are given to the main family line and trusted people to hold.â
âOther side branches, or those who are clearly not trusted by the family head, will be sent to some marginal and unrelated positions.â
âSince my second uncle is still senior, he couldnât be given a completely useless position. But even with some authority, he wonât be able to interfere with our affairs.â
âIn private matters, our marriage is our familyâs own business. He may be a relative, but he has no right to interfere. Moreover, he is just a second uncle, and a distant one at that.â
âIâm not that close to him. So privately and publicly, he has no right to interfere.â Adrian said.
Cindy Clarke nodded her head.
She knew that although this was the case, just because Adrianâs second uncle had no right to interfere did not mean he wouldnât.
Even if the final result was useless, it was still annoying to be inexplicably interfered with and dissatisfied.
Adrian clearly thought so too: âBut you canât stop him from talking.â
Adrian sneered, âI can imagine what he might say.â
âMy second uncle always uses his seniority to his advantage. To put it bluntly, he is a very self-righteous person,â Adrian said.
âIf he says something unpleasant or offensive, you donât have to be considerate of him just because heâs an elder. Donât be afraid to speak up,â Adrian said.
âYou donât need to hold back, just speak your mind,â Adrian discussed in advance with Cindy.
He knew what kind of character his second uncle was, but Cindy didnât.
Even if she listened to him, she might not have a real sense of it until she actually saw him.
But it didnât matter. Didnât she still have Adrian?
And besides, the grandparents and his parents were not easy to deal with either.
Her family members would not stand idly by while her second uncle bullied Cindy.
âSpeaking of which, the current family head is still dad, right?â Cindy asked.
Although Adrian now takes care of most things and people outside know more about him, it seemed to Cindy that he had not yet taken over the position of family head.
âYes,â Adrian nodded, âitâs still dad.â
âSo, the position my uncle is eyeing now is still dadâs,â Cindy found the key point.
Adrian smiled: âThatâs right.â
âNo one in the family from the Old Master to me has ever liked him, simply because he has always been eyeing that position,â Adrian said.
With Adrianâs temperament, would he be bothered about his second uncleâs opinions?
It was estimated that if his second uncle dared to say anything, Adrian wouldnât care about his uncleâs feelings.
âDonât worry,â Adrian told Cindy again.
Cindy naturally was not worried.
She was not the same person as before; she had so many people protecting her now.
She had her grandparents, her parents-in-law, no, they should be called parents now.
When Victoria Wheeler and Maverick Zhekova introduced themselves in the video, it was as her parents.
Although the two of them didnât say much, Cindy understood their meaning.
Cindyâs biological parents were not kind, but they were willing to be Cindyâs parents.
Cindy was their daughter-in-law.
But they were more willing to treat her like a daughter.
âWe donât have to worry about seeing him until the fifth day of the month.â
âAnyway, you know that with me, mom and dad, and the grandparents, itâs enough. You donât have to say anything yourself. We wonât allow your second uncle to say anything unpleasant to you,â Adrian said.
Cindy nodded her head.
She wasnât afraid in the first place.
Just as Adrian said, she had him, her parents, and her grandparents.
She didnât have to worry at all.
If she didnât have the support of her family and elders, she might have been worried about others gossiping and being unhappy with her. Because of her awkward position in her husbandâs family, she wouldnât have had the confidence to refute anything.
But she was different now; with the support of her elders in the family, if she still worried, she would truly be conscienceless.
âWe wonât be going back until the fifth day of the month anyway. Thereâs nothing to do tomorrow, is there anything you want to do?â Adrian asked.
They would be idle at home tomorrow anyway.
Cindy shook her head, âI canât think of anything right now.â
She wasnât too tired these days and didnât particularly want to rest at home.
Cindy thought about it and said, âWhy donât we ask Morgan what he wants to do tomorrow? Where does he want to go and play?â
Before, Cindy had taken the little guy out by herself. Even then, as a single parent, she had never treated the little guy unfairly.
As long as it was a suitable place the little guy wanted to go, Cindy would take him there.
Such as parent-child centers, indoor amusement parks for kids his age, Lego parks, educational science museums, hiking, and picnics, etc.
She would take the little guy wherever other kids could go.
However, with her taking the little guy out alone, the feeling was always different.
In places for parent-child activities, many parents would be with their children, making a family of three seem exceptionally warm.
Children with both parents were always happier than others.
After marrying Adrian, the little guy had fewer chances to go out and play.
Adrian was busy with work and often worked overtime on weekends.
Cindy was also busy with the Cooking Competition. It wasnât easy for both of them to take a break and they had to go back to the family mansion with the little guy.
The grandparents missed the little guy too.
Although they had taken the little guy out to play, it had been infrequent.
Asking the little guy where he wanted to go play tomorrow was a good opportunity to take him out and have fun.
It didnât matter what they played or where they played; what mattered was the three of them being together.
Adrian agreed.
It was getting late, so the two hurried to rest.
The next day, not only did Cindy and Adrian get up late, but the little guy also got up late because he had stayed up late the night before.
He didnât open his eyes until 10 oâclock.
If he hadnât felt that it was already getting late, he would have slept more.
Just as Cindy and Adrian were getting up late too, the little guy came out of the bedroom right when they were both ready and coming out of their own bedroom.
As Cindy prepared breakfast, she asked him, âMorgan, what do you want to play today? Where do you want to go?â
The little guy thought about it but couldnât come up with an idea immediately.
Cindy then said, âItâs okay, we have the whole day, donât hurry. Think about it while eating breakfast.â@@novelbin@@
As she spoke, the toast was ready, so she put it on a plate.
She then cracked eggs and added milk and freshly ground pepper, as well as salt.
