Chapter 5993: Going All In To Nurture One
Daoist Starseizer, Xia Xingchen, and Huahua turned to Chu Feng.
âWhy are you looking at me?â Chu Feng felt awkward.
âThe victor of the Godâs Era is a junior, and you are the strongest junior of the world of cultivation. Doesnât this all say that you will be the final victor of Godâs Era?â Xia Xingchen asked with a smile.
âI donât want to be humble, but itâs hard to say what will happen. That being said, Iâm curious to know whatâs there.â Chu Feng looked in the direction of the Seven Realms Galaxy.
An incredible power must be hidden there, or else it wouldnât have stirred such a huge phenomenon.
And Chu Feng desired power.
With sufficient power, he wouldnât have to ask around whether his mother was safe or not. Instead, he could have barged into the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and saved his mother.
Most people he had asked were confident in his mother, and he, too, was confident in his motherâs strength as well, but only after he confirmed with his own eyes that his mother was safe and sound could he finally rest at ease.
...
Meanwhile, Jie Tian and several experts from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion were gathered outside a remnant.
Jie Tian stared at the sky with astounded eyes, unable to snap out of what he had just witnessed. The phenomenon had been more spectacular for him as he was in the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and saw the comets flying in their direction.
Unfortunately, the guidance of Godâs Era only added to his stress.
He didnât want to admit it, but Chu Feng and Little Fishy were formidable foes. He was no longer as confident as he used to be.
Boom!
The earth suddenly shook, and the spirit power enveloping a remnant resembling a massive city dissipated.
The experts of the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion were overjoyed, including Jie Tian.
This Ancestral Martial Realm Sectâs remnant had finally been cleared, and the one who had cleared it was none other than Jie Tianâs grandfather, Jie Tianran.
Jie Tian had also heard that his grandfather had conquered the remnant in the Divine Body Galaxy not long ago either, but that only made him lower his head in shame.
His grandfather had consecutively cleared two Ancestral Martial Realm Sectâs remnants, an incredible feat that no one had pulled off before. Yet, Jie Tian was outdone by Chu Feng and failed in his mission.
âPaying respect to Lord Mansion Master.â
The crowd greeted the Seven Realms Sacred Mansionâs Mansion Master as he emerged from the remnant.
âTianâer, judging from your complexion, Iâm guessing that you failed to decipher the remnant?â Jie Tianran asked.
âGrandfather, I was incompetent.â Jie Tian kneeled on the floor.
Jie Tianran glanced at the others.
The experts of the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion caught his drift and hurriedly took their leave, giving Jie Tianran and Jie Tian some privacy.
Jie Tian told Jie Tianran about his encounter with Chu Feng, but he neglected to mention his motherâs involvement in the matter. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âGrandfather, I have brought shame to you. Please punish me.â Jie Tian kowtowed.
He had mentally prepared himself for a harsh punishment, but he couldnât stop his heart from beating nervously as Jie Tianran slowly walked over one step at a time. He felt both respect and fear for his grandfather even though the latter rarely punished him.
To his surprise, Jie Tianran reached out and supported Jie Tian to his feet.
âTianâer, tell me the truth. Whatâs your gauge of Chu Fengâs strength?â Jie Tianran asked.
âHeâs extremely powerful,â Jie Tian replied.
âAre you confident of defeating him the next time you meet him?â
âI am not confident of defeating him if we are at the same level of spirit power, but Iâll try my best,â Jie Tian replied.
âExcellent. Iâd expect no less from my grandson. Whatâs important is your guts.â Jie Tianran let out a satisfied laugh before asking, âDid you see the earlier phenomenon in the sky?â
âI saw it, grandfather. Whatâs inside Godâs Era? Does it have the power to dominate the entire world of cultivation?â
Jie Tian was curious about Godâs Era too, and his grandfather appeared to be the most knowledgeable person on this subject.
âWhich power in the existing world of cultivation is capable of producing the earlier phenomenon?â Jie Tianran asked.
âIf our Seven Realms Sacred Mansion canât do it, I doubt that the other powers can do it either,â Jie Tian replied.
âWhy do you doubt the power in Godâs Era then?â
âGrandfather, do you think the guidance is trustworthy? Will a junior rise to the top? But how can a junior surpass the established powerhouses? There are experts like grandfather in the present era, after all.â
Jie Tian was confident in his strength, but his confidence only held against his peers.
However, the guidance from Godâs Era indicated that the fight for the peak wasnât just among the juniors; it involved those from other generations too. Yet, a junior was going to rise above everyone else to reach the top?
Jie Tian found that hard to believe. How could someone less than a hundred years of age defeat those who had been cultivating for tens of thousands of years? This was unthinkable to him!
âThe path of cultivation has always been about talent, and a cultivatorâs talent peaks in his first hundred years. After the first hundred years, the speed of cultivation is bound to slow down, no matter how talented the cultivator is.
âI heard that in the Ancient Era, many top-notch experts were juniors. Even in the present era, Tianâer, someone of your strength is easily a powerhouse in most realms and even starfields, not to mention that youâre still young.
âWith your talent and the Seven Realms Sacred Mansionâs resources, you might just be able to surpass me as a junior,â Jie Tianran said.
âReally?â
Jie Tian couldnât imagine surpassing his overwhelmingly powerful grandfather within the next few decades.
âItâs true. You might just surpass me very soon, for I havenât provided you with the best cultivation resources yet,â Jie Tianran replied.
âI havenât received the best cultivation resources yet?â Jie Tian was surprised as he was under the impression that he had received the best cultivation resources from a young age.
âItâs not just our Seven Realms Sacred Mansion thatâs doing this; the same goes for the other powerhouses too. They havenât put their all into nurturing their juniors yet.
âAs much as the juniors needed to grow, those from the older generation had to become stronger too to support their clans. It would be unwise to invest all resources into the juniors.
âHowever, the situation is different now. We have already received the guidance of Godâs Era, so we shouldnât persist in the traditions of the past era anymore.â
Jie Tianran turned to Jie Tian and said, âI will do everything in my power to ensure that all resources in the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion go in your direction. Whether the resource is intended for juniors or the older generation, I will find a way to process it so that you can enjoy its benefits.
âTianâer, our Seven Realms Sacred Mansion wonât be the only one doing that. I trust that the other powers will do the same too, including the Ancient Eraâs powers.
âI am staking everything on you for this battle, but you donât have to feel pressured. I have confidence that you can rise above the others in this era and become the one to be conferred as a god.â
Seeing Jie Tianranâs expectant eyes, Jie Tianâs eyes teared up. Adrenaline pumped through his body as he imagined himself rising to the top of the world.
He kneeled and said, âRest assured, grandfather. Tianâer will not let you down again.â
