Chapter 21
It’s Too Late To Get A Divorce
Chapter 21
âReally?â Kim sneered, his gaze sharp.
âOf course. Weâve been living together for 14 years. Iâm well aware of her likes.â Jaydon grinned confidently.
Hearing their conversation, the lady boss blushed, curious about which lucky girl could have the favor of both these handsome guys.
âWhy not buy both and let her decide? Mouths lie, hearts donât.â Kim took the grapes to the cashier and then bagged a bunch of bananas.
Jaydon sneered behind him, ready for the challenge. But soon, unease crept inâhe actually had no idea what fruits Alita liked.
After paying, Kim left the fruit shop and headed back to the hospital.
In the elevator, Jaydon first hit the topâfloor button. âItâs still early, and I think we need to talk,â he said through gritted teeth.
âOkay.â Kim smiled calmly.
They got to the rooftop. The morning was cool, with occasional breezes.
Kim
Put the fruits aside. âSpill it if youâve got something to say.â
Jaydon rushed over and grabbed his collar. âTell the truth, are you with Annabel because of Alita?â
âIf I say no, would you believe me?â Kim smiled with a meaningful look.
âKim, listen, I donât care about your past, but now, sheâs my wife. Thatâs not changing, ever. Got it?â Jaydon patted Kimâs face and revealed a sinister smile. âIf it werenât for Annabel making trouble for me after I hurt you, l wouldâve surely taught you a lesson today.â
Kim chuckled, unfazed. âConfident to beat me? Maybe Iâll give you a hard time instead.â
âYouâre dreaming,â Jaydon said, full of pride.
âWell, we can tryKim smiled, pushing Jaydonâs hand away. He looked calm, but his movements were powerful.
After a brief standoff, Jaydon released him and patted his clothes. âRelax, just kidding. As long as you are loyal to Annabel and quit bothering Alita, I wonât cause you any trouble. Okay, letâs go back.â
Then, they returned to the ward.
Hearing the door, Annabel smiled. âYouâre back. What fruits did you buy?â
âWe werenât really sure what to buy. Grapes and bananas looked good, so we grabbed some,â Kim calmly answered, looking at Alita. âAlita, which do you like?â
âEither is fine. Thank you,â Alita answered politely.
âWhich one do you prefer? Actually, Kim said he wanted to bet with me. He believed his choice would suit your taste better. Darling, donât let me lose. Banana or grape, you pick one,â Jaydon said with a beaming smile.
Alita besitated. If she chose wrong, Jaydon would be furious. But she really didnât know he bought which one.
